I visited my home and friends in Newtown, Connecticut last weekend-a town grappling for a return to normalcy after the unspeakable tragedy. It appears that this coming weekend teams of “grief counselors” are on their way to help victims’ friends and families.
I mentioned this to several women who are residents and teachers in the town. Their reaction was so interesting. To the person they all rejected the so called counseling, and unanimously voiced a preference for shooting lessons instead of psychobabble.
One of them just sent me this reminder:
“Know guns, know peace, know safety.
No guns, no peace, no safety.

http://www.familysecuritymatters.org/publications/detail/welcome-illegal-aliens-youre-safe-here?f=puball The Obama administration loves to pass unpopular legislation-Obamacare-and release news of unpopular policies on Christmas Eve. The assumption is that people are too distracted to pay attention and, anyway, there’s nothing they can do about it. Illegal aliens received a Christmas gift when the chief of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency, [...]

Now we have a more immediate crisis to worry about: a biological attack on the United States, which Iran is preparing. A highly credible source within the [...]
I SAY WHY NOT? HE IS THE ABSOLUTE PARAGON OF OBAMATHINK…..AND IT IS OBAMA WHO WILL MAKE POLICY REGARDLESS OF WHO IS THE PICK FOR DEFENSE. BRENNAN FOR CIA IS FAR MORE SINISTER…TO HAVE A KNOWN ISLAMOPHILE AT THE CENTER OF INTEL IS WORSE……THE AGENCY OPERATES WITH A MODICUM OF INDEPENDENCE THAT THE DEPT. OF DEFENSE DOES NOT HAVE…..RSK
Love him or hate him, one thing for sure, this president loves a good fight even when it’s not necessary. Take this latest nomination of former Nebraskan Senator Chuck Hagel for Secretary of Defense.
As most people know by now, this controversial pick has stirred up a hornet’s nest of controversy not only amongst friends of Israel on both sides of the aisle but also within the gay and lesbian community as well.
Prior to his nomination, President Obama made reference to remarks Hagel made in 1998 about President Clinton’s nomination for ambassador to Luxembourg, James Hormel. Hagel characterized Hormel as being “openly aggressively gay” and claimed it would inhibit him from doing an “effective” job. He has recently apologized for these offensive remarks but for those born earlier than the day before yesterday, including Hormel, the sting is still there.
In a recent interview, the ambassador had this to say:
“I have not received an apology,” Hormel, who is a major figure in Democratic politics, told me. “I thought this so-called apology, which I haven’t received, but which was made public, had the air of being a defensive move on his part.” Hormel added that the apology appeared to have been given “only in service of his attempt to get the nomination.”

From 2002 to 2011, Muslims are estimated to have suffered hate crimes at a [...]

The Mission Was Real. The History was Malarkey.
One of the better movies I’ve seen this season is Argo, directed by and starring the talented and appealing Ben Affleck. The movie tells a fictionalized version of the true story of how a CIA operative helped six Americans escape from Iran during the hostage crisis of the Carter administration.
I, of course, had no problem with the filmmakers adding fictional dollops of drama, danger and adventure to the story. But I did object very strongly to the rewriting of history purely for purposes of pro-Democrat propaganda. The running gag in the movie concerns a make-believe sci-fi film called Argo that the CIA uses as a cover story. The battle cry of the good guys is, “Ar, go, f*** yourself.” But, as so often in Hollywood, it’s the political truth that gets f***ed.
Bad enough that the entire hostage crisis was subtly and not-so-subtly blamed on America in the movie. Even worse is the fact that the Democrat president’s idealistic incompetence in withdrawing American support for the Shah is completely passed over. It was this bone-headed Carter play that opened the floodgates of Islamo-fascism, allowing Ayatollah Khomeini to come to power — a bone-head move that Obama stupidly repeated when he withdrew support from Mubarak in Egypt and essentially handed the place over to the Muslim Brotherhood. As the Wall Street Journal’s Bret Stephens recently said, “In the middle east there are two kinds of regimes — those that could be worse, and those that couldn’t be worse.” Carter and Obama both opted to abandon the former and allow the latter.
