Democrats Aid Peter Meijer’s ‘Stop the Steal’ Opponent By Charles Hilu

https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/democrats-aid-peter-meijers-stop-the-steal-opponent/

Democrats are running ads for a Trump-endorsed candidate in Michigan’s third congressional district, continuing their effort to aid those who claim the 2020 election was stolen.

John Gibbs, who is running to unseat Peter Meijer, one of ten Republican Congress members who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump, gained support Tuesday from an unlikely source, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

“John Gibbs is too conservative for west Michigan,” the voiceover in the ad says. It warns that Gibbs will support policies similar to those of Trump, including being “hard-line against immigrants at the border” and “supporting ‘patriotic education.’”

Although the ad is critical of Gibbs, it could serve to help him gain favor with the Republican base that will choose between him and Meijer in the state’s August 2 primary. Conservative voters will be more likely to gravitate toward the candidate that leftists see as “too conservative.”

The ad is part of a larger campaign by Democrats to help “stop the steal” Republicans, whom they believe to be easier to beat in the general election. If their favored Trump-like candidate does not win in the primary, they can still force the mainstream candidate to spend more money, weakening him in the general.

Jan. 6 Committee Hiding Evidence That Absolves Trump by Matt Margolis

https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/matt-margolis/2022/07/26/jan-6-committee-hiding-evidence-that-absolves-trump-n1615808

The key narrative of the Jan. 6 Committee is that Donald Trump wanted to incite the violence that took place that day.

To do this, they’ve hidden and manipulated evidence. As we’ve previously reported, they presented a doctored video of Trump’s speech, interwoven with violent images and audio, while not including the portion of President Trump’s speech in which he told his supporters to “peacefully and patriotically” make their voices heard. Not once did he call for any violence or for them to break into the building.

But the committee has done even more to undermine the truth. Prior to his rally, Trump informed various military leaders that the event would draw a “large number of protestors,” and instructed his then-acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller and Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, to ensure it was “safe” by having troops available.

This evidence, not presented (nor denied) by the Jan. 6 Committee, is found in a Pentagon Inspector General report.

“Mr. Miller and GEN Milley met with the President at the White House at 5:30 p.m.,” the report reads. “The primary topic they discussed was unrelated to the scheduled rally. GEN Milley told us that at the end of the meeting, the President told Mr. Miller that there would be a large number of protestors on January 6, 2021, and Mr. Miller should ensure sufficient National Guard or Soldiers would be there to make sure it was a safe event. Gen Milley told us that Mr. Miller responded, ‘We’ve got a plan and we’ve got it covered.’”

Turkey: Torture Has Reached “Unprecedented Levels” by Uzay Bulut

https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/18715/turkey-torture

“We saw his body while washing it. There was a scar on his neck as if he had been hanged with a clothesline. Both of his eyes had burst. Blood was coming from his eyes. His nose was completely broken and filled with cotton. There was such a large swelling and bruise on his chest it looked as if a tree had been stuck there. His upper lip was almost as big as a palm. His right foot was stitched.” — Hikmet Yılmaz, elder brother of Ferhan Yılmaz, evidently tortured to death in Silivri prison on April 10, 2022.

“There are thousands of cases like this. I spoke to his brother a while ago…. There is ill-treatment and torture in all prisons, systematically everywhere.” — Sezgin Tanrıkulu, deputy of the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP), bianet.com. July 14, 2022.

“[W]e learned that the transferred prisoners told their families, ‘We are at risk here too. Do not make any more statements to the press.'” — Monitoring Delegation of Prisons in the Marmara Region, press conference, tihv.org.tr, April 15, 2022.

“Both of his hands have cuts and stitches…. His whole body is bruised…. He can’t see any more. They tortured him so much he has lost his eyesight. They hit him so much in the head that his head shakes all the time. His eyes start moving as if he had a stroke…. He has seven stitches on one arm and six on the other…They put him in a cell where there was feces of other prisoners. They told him to eat the feces. They beat my son and hanged him twice. And then removed him from the rope. He also hanged himself once… He said they made him do it… They put a razor blade there and told him to cut himself. They waited there so he had to cut himself.” — Beyaz Çelik, mother of prisoner Halil Kasal, who was tortured at Silivri Prison.

“I emphasize that there is no torture or ill-treatment in Turkish prisons… Almost all of the allegations against prisons are exaggeration, distortion and fiction… Such allegations were made by terrorist organizations, circles that support terrorist organizations or those who support them politically.” — Turkey’s Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ, t24.com.tr, April 20, 2022.

“Prisoners are under torture. There are massive violations of rights. Prisoners die, they are killed, but [authorities] say that they committed suicide.” — Fatma Kurtulan, MP of the HDP party and member of the Parliamentary Human Rights Investigation Commission, Yeni Yasam Gazetesi, April 20, 2022.

“[S]ometimes the prison guards show counter-reflexes by complaining about the prisoners that they abuse, and the prisoners get arbitrarily and illegally punished for the abuses from which they have suffered…. These incidents are due to sentences arbitrarily and unlawfully implemented in Turkey, and the widespread impunity policy for state authorities who are perpetrators of crimes.” — Mehdi Ozdemir, attorney, board member of Diyarbakir Bar Association, to Gatestone, April 23, 2022.

What makes this situation even worse is that the international community, including the UN, has enabled the Turkish government to carry out its policy of destruction of human rights with no consequences, but many rewards.

FBI whistleblowers claim the agency lied about Hunter Biden’s laptop By Andrea Widburg

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2022/07/fbi_whistleblowers_claim_the_agency_lied_about_hunter_bidens_laptop.html

“We will know that the rule of law exists in this country if these men (and women?) are brought to trial and, if found guilty, thrown into prison for a very long time. So far, the Durham investigation has been a sham, and the pattern is clear: Democrats who engage in illegal activity to advance Democrat party political goals get a pass. Always.”

In late summer 2020, the mother of all October surprises emerged: An abandoned Hunter Biden laptop filled to the brim with information about Hunter’s drug and sex addictions (scurrilous but arguably irrelevant to Joe) plus massive amounts of information about Hunter’s shady business deals with America’s geopolitical enemies, all of which he obtained thanks to the Biden family business (aka Joe Biden using his office to sell out America). The tech companies immediately censored the story but, even more tellingly, the FBI claimed that the manifestly real material was, in fact, “disinformation.” Now, though, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) says that FBI whistleblowers have emerged to say that the FBI lied. Suh-prise, suh-prise, suh-prise, as Gomer Pyle would have said.

Video: How Soros Spent $18B to Control the Media, Defund the Police, and Elect Leftist Prosecutors Author Matt Palumbo exposes the financier’s networks and agenda.

https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/2022/07/video-how-soros-spent-18b-control-media-defund-frontpage-magazine/

In an in-depth interview with Matt Palumbo, author of The Man Behind the Curtain: Inside the Secret Network of George Soros, at the link below, Palumbo discusses the origins of left-wing billionaire financier Soros and his rise to power as the shadowy figure seemingly pulling the strings behind the scenes in American politics. Palumbo describes the purpose of his book as an opportunity to demystify Soros through extensive documentation of his financial sway across multiple spheres of influence in western society.

Palumbo also touches on the inner workings of Soros’s “Open Society Foundation,” the interconnected web of foundations and charitable organizations from which most of his philanthropic endeavors are launched. Palumbo provides a few examples from the hundreds of organizations George Soros has contributed to that are listed in his book (Black Lives Matter, Acorn, Defund the Police) as well as a detailed list of media publications that are heavily subsidized by Soros funds.

The conversation turns towards Soros’s recent push to promote radically liberal district attorneys and its ramifications on law and order in America, Soros’s role in the 2020 presidential election, along with his efforts to fund liberal colleges and universities throughout the country.

Black Studies as Cultural Reparations The chickens of the 1960s have come home to roost. Jason D. Hill

https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/2022/07/black-studies-cultural-reparations-jason-d-hill/

In current conversations regarding reparations for blacks, few consider the phenomenon of cultural reparations as a sufficient contender.

This legacy of the civil rights movement is not to be taken lightly. Indeed, cultural reparations were an enormous contribution of the United States of America to bring blacks fully into the domain of what may be termed the sovereign mass that constitutes the citizenry of our republic.

One reason, among several, that reparations discussions today are uneven, is that they overlook the important fact that cultural reparations in the form of Black Studies that began in the 1960s were a hugely reparative moment for blacks in America.

Soon after tasting the victories of the 1964 Civil Rights Act which civilly and criminally outlawed racism, and the 1965 Voting Rights Act—blacks became voraciously hungry. They were hungry for power—black power. They were hungry also for revenge. They were also filled with anger and rage. Gratitude was not an emotion they felt, as beneficiaries of the rights accorded them via the civil rights movements. They were eager to assume the perpetual mantle of victims and the conferral of moral, iconic sainthood that came with it for the first time in their collective history.

Environmentalism is an Environmental Hazard Solar panel lead in the groundwater and wind turbine fiberglass in your lungs. Daniel Greenfield

https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/2022/07/environmentalism-environmental-hazard-daniel-greenfield/

20 years after voters rejected ‘toilet-to-tap’ water, Los Angeles Democrats brag that they will be the first city in the state to pipe toilet water to faucets for the sake of the environment.

As part of the city’s version of the Green New Deal, a majority of Los Angeles water will be ‘toilet-to-tap’. California Democrats, who refuse to build new dams or do anything to expand water resources, are set to spend at least $12 billion on what they describe as “locally sourced” water which certainly sounds nicer than toilet water. The environmentalist elites will go on drinking bottled water and it will be the city’s poor drinking out of the toilet.

Environmentalists insist that nothing can go wrong even though a 2019 NIH hosted survey noted that “there have been relatively few health-based studies evaluating the microbial risks associated with potable reuse” and that California wants to achieve “a benchmark level of public health protection of 1 infection in 10,000 people per year”. That’s 1,000 people in Los Angeles County. The risks include “pathogenic bacteria, viruses, and protozoa” transmitted via a fecal-oral route” including Hepatitis A. A new reservoir might cost $4 billion, but environmentalists would rather spend three times as much on their toilet-to-tap plan.

‘Toilet-to-tap’ is just one of the multitude of ways that environmentalism creates an environmental hazard, threatening public health and undermining life in California.

Major Military Academies Have Been Teaching Critical Race Theory for Some Time By Eric Lendrum

https://amgreatness.com/2022/07/26/major-military-academies-have-been-teaching-critical-race-theory-for-some-time/

A new study by an education watchdog group claims that major military academies in the United States have been actively teaching the far-left and anti-White concept of “Critical Race Theory” (CRT) to future military leaders.

According to Fox News, the report comes from CriticalRace.org, which focuses on monitoring the spread of CRT across the country, particularly in education. The website is a project of the Legal Insurrection Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to freedom of speech and academic freedom on campus. As part of the project, the foundation has expanded the scope of its investigation to include military academies as well.

“The good news is that CRT and related ideologies have not yet captured the military service academies the way they have overrun higher ed, professional schools, and increasingly K-12,” said William Jacobson, the founder of Legal Insurrection. “The bad news is that these ideologies have established a beachhead at the military service academies and are likely to expand as part of a more general military wokeness campaign from the top down.”

Jacobson said that the investigation had discovered this trend after taking a closer look at the curricula at the United States Air Force Academy, the United States Coast Guard Academy, the United States Merchant Marine Academy, the United States Naval Academy, and the United States Military Academy at West Point. The report concluded that every single one of these elite military institutions has been teaching some form of CRT, otherwise known as “anti-racism,” as part of the broader “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI) agenda.

Defund the FBI The Bureau has become irremediably politicized and inveterately corrupt. Robert Spencer

https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/2022/07/defund-fbi-robert-spencer/

Was anyone really surprised when Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) announced that “highly credible” whistleblowers had given him information about FBI efforts to make the Hunter Biden scandal go away? Grassley wrote to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland Monday that “the information provided to my office involves concerns about the FBI’s receipt and use of derogatory information relating to Hunter Biden, and the FBI’s false portrayal of acquired evidence as disinformation. The volume and consistency of these allegations substantiate their credibility and necessitate this letter.” Will anyone hail me as a prognosticator of extraordinary powers when I predict, correctly, that in response to this letter, Wray and Garland will do absolutely nothing, except possibly to cover their tracks more effectively? No, because anyone who has been paying attention can see that.

The FBI has become a cancer on the American body politic. The FBI must go.

Grassley summarized how the FBI spiked the Hunter Biden material, stating that “the allegations provided to my office appear to indicate that there was a scheme in place among certain FBI officials to undermine derogatory information connected to Hunter Biden by falsely suggesting it was disinformation.” He noted that a 2020 FBI intelligence assessment that was “used by an FBI headquarters team to improperly discredit negative Hunter Biden information as disinformation.” He added: “Based on allegations, verified and verifiable derogatory information on Hunter Biden was falsely labeled as disinformation.”

Three New Books Challenge Preconceived Notions of Race Far-left activists, scholars and journalists dominate the debate with views most black Americans reject. Jason Riley

https://www.wsj.com/articles/three-new-books-challenge-preconceived-notions-of-race-black-inequality-progressives-left-views-narrative-11658870936?mod=opinion_lead_pos8

I do a fair amount of public speaking and am sometimes asked about my personal background. People want to know how I turned out the way I did, but I’m not always certain what they’re getting at. How did I become conservative? Why do I speak standard English? How did I stay out of jail? The inquiry is often made in a tone that suggests I have somehow defied expectations, that I didn’t turn out the way people who look like me normally do. It’s almost as if I’m otherworldly.

The reality is that most of the views expressed in this column each week are shared by many if not most black people. A majority of blacks tell pollsters that they support school choice and voter ID requirements and that they oppose racial preferences. Media outlets typically turn to social activists, far-left academics, liberal journalists and progressive politicians for comment on such matters, but the viewpoints of Ta-Nehisi Coates, Ibram X. Kendi and Nikole Hannah-Jones are often at odds with those of the average black person.

Moreover, this longstanding divergence in opinion has if anything been widening. One of today’s most prominent activist organizations, Black Lives Matter, has advocated defunding the police, while polling has shown that upward of 80% of blacks want the level of policing in their communities to remain the same or to increase.
