Trump’s Unknown Frontiers Trump is rewriting the rules of politics, economics, and culture—and no one, not even the experts, knows what happens when the old orthodoxy finally breaks. By Victor Davis Hanson

https://amgreatness.com/2025/08/04/trumps-unknown-frontiers/

Donald Trump’s far-ranging counter-revolution, to quote the old Star Trek mission statement, seeks “To boldly go where no one has gone before.”

Because no conservative president has dared to question the last 70 years of progressive cultural, social, economic, and political dominance, all traditional wisdom, all our renowned “experts,” and all the self-described “authorities” have no real credibility in their mostly flawed analyses and wrong prognoses.

Read what our legacy media predicted in March for this summer’s economy, or in January for the future of the border, or what would happen should the U.S. Air Force enter Iranian airspace.

Take the border. “Comprehensive immigration reform” (a euphemism for rolling amnesties and a still-open border) was the establishment’s answer to 10,000 foreign nationals storming the border during peak surges of the Biden administration.

But no president had ever simultaneously 1) pressured Mexico to close its borders and patrol ours, 2) announced a plan to complete a border wall along the entire US-Mexico boundary, 3) stopped catch-and-release, 4) ceased refugee applications after illegally entering the U.S., 5) introduced policies encouraging voluntary self-deportation, and 6) prevented all illegal entries at the border.

The result is that we do not know the full effects of these combined border policies.

So far, one million foreign nationals have lost jobs, and 2 million Americans have gained them since Trump’s inauguration. How much money will be saved in local, state, and federal entitlements if illegal immigrants return home?

How much trauma and costs will be avoided if 500,000 criminal aliens are deported?

How many serious and lethal hit-and-run accidents will be prevented?

To what degree will the idea of citizenship be reenergized once it is not reduced to the equivalency of mere residence?

How many emergency rooms will have more space for U.S. citizens? No one knows, but the consequences could be enormous.

The murderous, thieving overlords of Hamas are the true oppressors of the Palestinians Colonel Richard Kemp

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/08/03/hamas-no-peace-israel-gaza-war-palestinian/

The terrorists are the true oppressors of Palestine, not the Israelis

Despite calls from the Arab League to disarm, Hamas says it refuses to do so until an independent Palestinian state is established. By that the terrorist group means it will never disarm, because it knows that no Palestinian state will ever be established. Certainly not the state they envisage, which is a far cry from the two-state solution that Starmer, Macron and Carney seem to have in mind. Hamas want a one-state solution, an Islamic State encompassing the entirety of Israel, Gaza and the West Bank. Hence their slogan “from the river to the sea”, mouthed incessantly on university campuses and the streets of our cities by uncomprehending hordes. Hamas’s founding charter demands the annihilation of Israel and the death of Jews everywhere. Despite a cosmetic “revision” and English language statements made to fool Westerners, this has never been repudiated and remains their unwavering goal.

The leadership of Hamas are vicious, bloodthirsty terrorists, many of them multi millionaires enriched by decades stealing aid meant for the people of Gaza. But they are far from being fools. They understand that Israel will never surrender to them and they will never have the military power to drive the Israelis out. Their best shot was October 7 in 2023, which was supposed to be supported by an invasion by Hezbollah from the north and backed by rocket fire from Iran’s other “ring of fire” terrorist proxies. They murdered, raped, tortured, kidnapped and burned but failed to achieve what they intended.

Instead their actions drove Gaza to ruin and decimated their own fighting strength. But they will fight on fanatically for as long as they are physically able to do so. Hamas is a miniature version of al-Qaeda. Like Hamas, Bin Laden sought an Islamic caliphate, but on a global scale. And like Hamas, he didn’t expect to achieve it in his life-time or even for generations. He saw his role as killing, destruction and economic damage. The purpose was to demoralise the West and “apostate” Muslim regimes, creating strife and division around the world until eventually the caliphate would be established.

Mamdani Wants Cops to Stop Responding to Attacks on Jews Zohran Mamdani is preparing to enable a new wave of antisemitic violence. by Daniel Greenfield

https://www.frontpagemag.com/mamdani-wants-cops-to-stop-responding-to-attacks-on-jews/

Jews are the victims of the majority of hate crimes, especially religious hate crimes, in New York City.

Jews were targeted in 345 hate crimes in New York City last year, more than all other minority groups combined, according to NYPD data released on Monday.

Anti-Jewish crimes accounted for 54% of the 641 total hate crimes reported to police in the city in 2024, the data showed.

Since the beginning of the year, 74 (60%) of the 123 recorded hate crimes have targeted Jews, according to the NYPD.

Zohran Mamdani, the radical Islamist and leftist terrorist supporter, has proposed that the NYPD not respond to hate crimes, instead that they be handled by social workers.

This is not simply police defunding, rather this shifts resources away from responding to attacks on Jews, moves away from having law enforcement deal with those attacks and instead has his political leftist allies ‘deal’ with them by burying them.

This isn’t just a pro-crime policy. It’s strategically calculated to protect members of his community who attack Jews while exposing Jews to religiously motivated assaults.

Zohran Mamdani is already building the infrastructure for enabling a new wave of antisemitic violence.

So Much Winning — Voters Give Trump’s Leadership, Policies Strong Backing In August: I&I/TIPP Poll

https://issuesinsights.com/2025/08/04/so-much-winning-voters-give-trumps-leadership-policies-strong-backing-in-august-ii-tipp-poll/

While President Trump’s leadership style and policies both can at times be controversial even among his own GOP base, he continues to hold on tight to his solid overall favorability ratings among American voters, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll data show.

The national online I&I/TIPP Poll, taken by 1,362 voters from July 30-Aug. 1, show Trump holding steady, with 45% giving him a “favorable” rating, and an equal 45% giving him “unfavorable.” Another 6% answered “not familiar enough to say” while 4% were “not sure.” The poll’s margin of error of is +/-2.7 percentage points

The war of moral inversion being waged through the western mind Why Hamas released those obscene images Melanie Phillips

https://melaniephillips.substack.com/

Hamas released the cruel images of the starved and skeletal Israeli hostages for two reasons.

The first was to demonstrate the triumph of its diabolical strategy to turn the Holocaust into a weapon to exterminate the nation that was reborn out of its ashes.

Releasing these terrible images of starved Jews, who look like inmates of the Nazi death camps, was designed to throw the Holocaust into the Jews’ faces by saying “Look, here it is again but now the world doesn’t care and is blaming you instead for being the Nazis”. It was a triumphant taunt that Israel was powerless to prevent the second Holocaust that Hamas never stops announcing it is planning.

It’s no accident that these images were released just days after Britain’s prime minister, Sir Keir Starmer, announced that the UK would recognise a state of Palestine unless the Israelis ceased fire in Gaza.

Along with French president Emanuel Macron and Canada’s prime minister Mark Carney, who have also declared they will recognise “Palestine”, Starmer thus put rocket fuel behind the lie that Israel is starving the people of Gaza to death and that Israel, not Hamas, is to blame for Gaza’s plight.

This lie has been assiduously spread throughout the west by Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood and the Palestinian Authority, which has been promoting for decades the monstrous claim that the Israelis are Nazis bent on genocide — a stupendous inversion aimed to conceal the PA’s own Nazi roots.

The Midnight Zone by Linda Goudsmit

Approximately 90% of the ocean is aphotic––without light––the midnight zone of the ocean where sunlight cannot penetrate and no photosynthesis can occur. So it is with child sex trafficking, a midnight zone where children are hidden in darkness and the traumatic abuse they suffer prevents their growth and development. The midnight zone is also aphonic––without sound––a place where these sex trafficked children are exploited and have no voice. So, what lives in the midnight zone? Apex predators like giant squid. Some have grown to 57-feet long with eight arms and eyes the size of basketballs.

The apex predators who sell and traffick children for sex are the giant squid of the midnight zone, their tentacles reach deep into American society to ensnare the children and collapse society from within. In a stunning July 24, 2025 interview Epoch Times reporter Jan Jekielek discusses, “How Traffickers Prey on America’s Youth: Jaco Booyens.” Jaco Booyens is founder of Jaco Booyens Ministries (JBM), an anti-human trafficking organization committed to protecting American children from predatory exploitation.

Bad News Is Good News? The Left’s Premature Celebration Over Jobs Data The left cheered a weak jobs report—until Trump fired the stats chief, touted native-born job gains, and doubled down on his America First economic overhaul. By Roger Kimball

https://amgreatness.com/2025/08/03/bad-news-is-good-news-the-lefts-premature-celebration-over-jobs-data/

Many people described the jobs report that dropped from the Bureau of Labor Statistics on August 1 as “disappointing.”

But it wasn’t disappointing for the left and other anti-Trump redoubts. On the contrary, it was cause for celebration. Experts had expected the economy to add 110,000 jobs in July. It added only 73,000. Cue images of “The Scream” by Edvard Munch. Moreover, the robust reports from May and June were revised downwards by 285,000. Of course, bad news for Trump was good news for the denizens of the anti-Trump fever swamps.

But the joy was short-lived. Trump himself quickly weighed in to describe the numbers as “rigged.” He also noted that Dr. Erika McEntarfer, the Commissioner of Labor Statistics, drastically overstated job growth in March 2024 and then again in August and September, just before the 2024 presidential election. Those numbers were subsequently revised downwards by 828,000 and 112,000, respectively.

Trump concluded that McEntarfer had “faked the jobs numbers” and promptly fired her. Whether or not that was politic—or, more to the point, whether it was good politics—is perhaps a question worth considering. It was music to the ears of the anti-Trump squadrons, however, since it gave them something else to complain about. Professional anti-Trumper Anne Applebaum, for example, reposted a critical comment by Pete Buttigieg (remember him?), charging that Trump’s behavior was “very Soviet, except that Stalin then arrested and executed the statisticians.” Portraying Trump as Stalin is a change from the usual Trump as Hitler comparison, though it’s not exactly an upgrade.

I think there are essentially two things to be said about this jobs report.

First, notwithstanding the tocsins of anti-Trump fury, the report wasn’t really that bad. The left seized on it as one shred of possibly lukewarm economic news in the midst of an ocean of upbeat news—the deals with countries across the globe, the taming of inflation, unemployment hovering just above 4%, and the billions of dollars already realized through Trump’s tariffs: it presents a very robust picture overall.

I think Senator John Kennedy got it right when he noted that “This jobs report isn’t perfect, but I wouldn’t trade America’s economy today for that of any other country, thanks to President Trump.” Indeed. “To put things in perspective,” Kennedy said, “we had 9% inflation under President Biden only a few years ago.” Today? Inflation is about 2.5%.

The Most Favored Descendants of Abraham? by Nils A. Haug

https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/21771/descendants-of-abraham

At the Islamic Centre of Rhode Island, on May 30, an imam delivered a sermon that, according to Andrew Bostom, “invoked Islam’s supersessionism, its notion of being the true primordial monotheism of Jewish patriarch Abraham.”

Of course, the main problem in discussing religion is that it is often impossible to prove anything, so that all controversies continue indefinitely.

It is a contest of legitimacy with Muslims asserting Ishmael to be the rightful, favored heir to Abraham, rather than his only legitimate son and heir, Isaac.

Islamist claims of legitimacy — and their determination to rid Israel of Jews — are a core element in explaining the perpetual conflict between Islamists and Israel. Consequently, any peace agreement may well be fragile and temporary.

It has been claimed that the recent Iran-Israel war was simply a “violent prelude to a far grander and more terrifying prophetic chapter” in the effort to eliminate Israel and Jews from the face of the earth.

This objective comprises diverse but interconnected strategies, such as pro-Islamic and anti-Zionist propaganda; military attacks on Israel by Iran and its jihadist proxies; and, not least, theological contortions designed to negate legitimate Jewish claims to their ancient divine blessings, including the promised homeland of Israel — Eretz Yisrael — itself.

The End of Stephen Colbert’s Hate Disguised as Comedy By Rajan Laad

https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2025/08/the_end_of_stephen_colbert_s_hate_disguised_as_comedy.html

The legacy of figures like Stephen Colbert is the sowing of division and hatred across the nation.

The CBS network recently announced that “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” would be concluding in May 2026.

CBS claimed that the move was “purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late-night [television]”; Colbert’s show lost more than $40 million of CBS’s annual investment of over $100 million.

CBS also claimed that the move didn’t reflect “the show’s performance, content, or other matters.” This is a falsehood. The root cause behind financial losses is the lack of viewership, which leads to advertisers’ reluctance.

So what drove CBS to cancel Colbert’s show?

A major factor is that contemporary viewers consume content online at their convenience, rather than watching it on television at a scheduled time.

Another reason is that the very format of the late-night show, with the staged monologue, rehearsed bits, and contrived anecdotes from stars, has become stale.

Since the shows reflect current political events and stars promoting their latest products, they have short shelf life; thus little revenue is generated from retaining these shows for streaming sites. People may want to rewatch classic TV fictional series such as “Seinfeld,” but rewatching a week-old Colbert makes no sense. Sections of these late-night shows may become “viral,” but these clips are freely available on YouTube, hence little revenue is generated.

Once upon a time, the late-night shows were the primary place for stars to promote their products, where viewers learned about an upcoming movie, TV show, or music album. Today, promotions occur on podcasts and other web-based forums.

Now for the content.

Once upon a time, late-night giants such as Jay Leno and Johnny Carson strove to ensure that their political leanings weren’t reflected on their shows. Leno’s monologue was evenly poised, targeting both Democrats and Republicans. Leno’s jibes were jokes, not vicious personal attacks. Letterman was a liberal and occasionally displayed his bias. This explains why Leno dominated the ratings.

The late-night scene radically changed when Jon Stewart began hosting “The Daily Show” in 1998. Stewart’s goal wasn’t entertainment but rather to push the Democrat agenda. “The Daily Show” was no different from Democrat mouthpieces such as the NYT or MSNBC, except that Stewart’s masquerade was comedy.

The Race Against China for Fusion Power: Whoever Controls It, Controls the Century by Lawrence Kadish

https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/21794/race-against-china-ai-fusion-power

Fusion energy is not only cheap, clean and limitless, it is also the “engine” that will drive the enormous increases in artificial intelligence (AI) that will be the ultimate super-weapon of this century. AI requires power — enormous amounts of it — that only fusion energy can provide.

If there were a formula for who will dominate the 21st century, it would be: Fusion Energy + AI = World Supremacy.

Our nation, however, is now faced with a new and dangerous 21st century threat.

China has been steamrolling ahead developing cheap, clean and limitless fusion energy to fuel the great new frontier of AI. Meanwhile, America appears stuck in the technology of soon-to-be-outdated fission energy.

AI, as President Donald J. Trump has stated, is what will determine which nation is the superpower of the 21st century. The Trump administration cannot allow China to leave America in the dust for want of energy to power America’s AI.

In this century, there will be two types of nations: the ones that conquered fusion energy and those that wish they had.

As China’s proficiency in fusion energy grows — the Chinese have already exported a fusion device to Thailand — the United States dangerously still appears to prefer the soon-to-be- outdated fission energy, associated with the catastrophes of Chernobyl, Three Mile Island and the fission reactors in Ukraine, if a Russian missile should hit one.
