Hey, New York Times, Are We Really Still Touting ‘Gaza Health Ministry’ Propaganda?By Andrew C. McCarthy

https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/hey-new-york-times-are-we-really-still-touting-gaza-health-ministry-propaganda/?utm_source=recirc-

This is from the Newspaper of Record today, reporting on Trump administration pressure for a ceasefire between Israel, i.e., our ally, and Hamas, i.e., the jihadist Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood designated for three decades as a foreign terrorist organization under federal law:

Israel’s retaliation has killed more than 57,000 Palestinians, including thousands of children, according to the Gaza health ministry, which does not distinguish between civilians and combatants. Almost all of the roughly two million Palestinian residents of in Gaza have been displaced at one point during the war, many of them repeatedly, and hunger is widespread.

Sigh.

Just to clarify:

That “Gaza health ministry” is Hamas. If its flacks are moving their lips, they are lying. This is not merely because they are liars. It is doctrinal. In Hamas-dominated schools, Palestinians children are taught the prophet Mohammed’s instruction that “War is deceit.” In warfare against Jews and other infidels, Islamic scripture encourages misdirection, ploys, and broken agreements — indeed, much of the Koran details the military conquests of the first Muslims, and deception was a feature, not a bug. (Muslims are hardly unique in this regard, Mohammed was speaking a timeless military truth. The important point here is that Hamas considers itself engaged in a jihadist war for the destruction of Israel; its statements are in furtherance of the jihad and, perforce, tend to be lies.)
The “Gaza health ministry,” i.e., Hamas, does not distinguish between “civilians” and combatants in totaling deaths because sharia supremacist ideology does not see things that way. First, “citizen” is a Western concept. Sharia societies are not free societies; they have the sharia authority and its subjects (not citizens), most of whom are Muslim; the only obligation of the ruler and the ruled is to adhere to sharia law. Second, to be sure, sharia does distinguish between combatants and other subjects; combatants are esteemed in life and venerated in death, after which Allah is believed to richly reward them. Nevertheless, insofar as the execution of the jihad is concerned, it is the duty of all Muslims — combatants and noncombatants alike — to die if that advances the cause of Allah. In Hamas’s jihad against Israel, Western garment rending about “civilian casualties” is more valuable to the cause than Hamas’s combatant operations because (as we’re seeing yet again) the former yield concessions from the Jewish state that are manifestly more valuable than whatever (increasingly little) is achieved by the latter.
Two million Palestinians have been displaced at one time or another because (a) Hamas atrociously attacked Israel on October 7, requiring Israel to respond by attacking Hamas in its Gaza stronghold, the former safe haven from which it planned, trained, recruited, and raised funds for its eliminationist jihad against Israel; (b) as a terrorist organization that specializes in war crimes, Hamas both hides among and targets civilian infrastructure; (c) Israel encouraged Gazan noncombatants to relocate in the lead-up to its combat operations against Gazan military targets to avoid killing noncombatants – honoring the spirit of international law even though Israel well knew the consequences of this approach: more casualties for its own soldiers while Hamas jihadists evaded attack, and a lengthier war; and (d) if the noncombatants had not been displaced, if Israel had simply attacked targets of military value shielded by noncombatants (which the law of war permits), the Timeswould say that Israel had intentionally “mass-murdered civilians” and committed “war crimes” (which, of course, is what commentators of the Islamist-leftist alliance say anyway).
Hunger is less widespread than the Times would have you believe because Israel is delivering millions of meals to Gazans. To the extent there is and has been hunger, it is because the billions in humanitarian aid that Israel and the West send to Gaza is stolen by Hamas. Historically speaking, some degree of hunger is a tragic fact of life in war-torn territories – it is a big part of why populations are displaced. Yet, the hunger problem in Gaza has been ameliorated because Israel has substantially defanged Hamas – since the terrorist organization has been severely weakened as a fighting and ruling force, Israel has been able to get humanitarian aid directly to the Gazan population, without diversion by Hamas.

Hope that helps.

Third Parties Don’t Work And there are good reasons why. by Daniel Greenfield

https://www.frontpagemag.com/third-parties-dont-work/

Most people hate the political duopoly of the Democrats and Republicans (some people insist on calling it a Uniparty and while there’s a whole lot of corrupt and faithless pols, if you really can’t see the difference between the people calling for the abolition of ICE and those funding it, well…) but it’s hard to look at true multi-party systems elsewhere (or in American history) and think they’re better.

Most multi-party systems depend on parliamentary coalitions which we fortunately don’t have. To see why they’re so terrible, take a look at the trouble that Geert Wilders had in the Netherlands or Netanyahu in Israel. Parliamentary coalitions maintain a kind of political center that is forever sliding leftward. In other words, it’s everything you hate about our political system, but made much worse.

There’s the Latin American model, which we are moving toward, but that’s even worse for anyone who doesn’t like civil wars every other decade. (Jefferson did argue in favor of them.)

How would an actual effective third party work in America today? The two parties used redistricting to minimize the number of swing districts. Much of the public hates both parties, but running a candidate in any district would require competing against that district’s existing formulation. That means trying to beat either party in a district created just for its candidates. And running third party candidates in swing districts would most likely chip away at whichever two party candidate is likely to pick up independent voters. And that would likely end up favoring Democrats over Republicans.

Massad Boulos: The Key Architect Behind the Historic DRC-Rwanda Peace Agreement By Yassin Fawaz

https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2025/07/massad_boulos_the_key_architect_behind_the_historic_drc_rwanda_peace_agreement.html

In what may become one of the most significant diplomatic moments in recent African history, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Rwanda signed a sweeping peace agreement on June 27, 2025—and they did it in the Oval Office, no less, hosted by President Donald Trump. It’s a deal with real potential to end decades of devastating conflict, but what most people won’t see in the headlines is the man who made it possible behind the scenes: Massad Boulos.

Massad, who currently serves as Senior Advisor at the State Department for Africa and also Senior Advisor to the President on Middle East and Arab affairs, was the quiet force guiding this effort from the start. Notably, Massad’s son, Michael Boulos, is married to Tiffany Trump, underscoring the family’s close ties to the president.

Massad Boulos brings a wealth of cross-cultural negotiation experience to the job. Born into a family with ties across the Middle East, Africa, and the United States, he has long operated at the intersection of global business, diplomacy, and culture.

‘Death to IDF’: Pro-Palestine protesters storm Jewish restaurant Story by James Rothwell

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2025/07/05/death-idf-pro-palestine-protesters-storm-israeli-restaurant/

Rioters in Melbourne set fire to a synagogue and ransacked an Israeli restaurant while shouting “death to the IDF” as the notorious chant used at Glastonbury appeared to spread to Australia.

Jewish community leaders in the city said they suffered two anti-Semitic attacks within half an hour of each other on Friday, as they called for the “full force of the law” to be used against the perpetrators.

The words “death, death to the IDF” were chanted by the British punk musician Bob Vylan during his performance at the Glastonbury music festival last week, triggering an avalanche of criticism of the BBC which live streamed the performance.

The rioters who entered the restaurant threw chairs, smashed glasses, overturned tables and threw food around as the diners fled, Australian news outlet 7News reported.

Anthony Albanese, the Australian prime minister, has condemned the attacks and said he would offer federal government support to state authorities in Victoria.

“Those responsible for these shocking acts must face the full force of the law and my government will provide all necessary support toward this effort,” he said.

Pedophilia and Politics by Linda Goudsmit

In an important recap of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) revelations, journalist Margaret Flavin reports on an audit of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) as discussed in a recent interview with Vice President JD Vance. Flavin’s article, “Vice President Vance Underscores Reports of Massive Waste and Corruption in Foreign Aid (Video),” posted on Gateway Pundit, June 29, 2025. The results of the audit reveal that only 12% of the money allocated to USAID for aid arrives at its destination! How is this possible?

Vance explains the corruption:

“So, we send $100,000 to this group to buy food for poor kids in Africa, okay.”

“And what actually happens is it’s not $100,000 that go to the food for the poor kids in Africa. The NGO, the non-government organization that gets that money, contracts it out to somebody else, and then they subcontract it. So, there’s like three or four middlemen.”

“Marco Rubio, who’s the Secretary of State, he’s a very good friend. What he told me is that his best estimate, after he had his team look at it, is that 88 cents of every dollar was actually being collected by middlemen.”

“So, every dollar we were spending, humanitarian assistance, 12 cents, was actually making it to people who needed it.

In fiscal year 2023, USAID distributed $7 billion of American taxpayer monies worldwide, and less than $1 billion was actually distributed to the needy. This confirms the waste, fraud, and abuse that Elon Musk’s DOGE team discovered. Secretary of State Marco Rubio responded with his March 10, 2025, announcement that 83% of USAID programs, a whopping 5200 contracts, many were cancelled saving tens of billions of American taxpayer dollars. The 1,000 remaining programs will be managed under the State Department.

Marco Rubio’s March 10, 2025 tweet:

After a 6-week review, we are officially cancelling 83% of the programs at USAID.

The 5200 contracts that are now cancelled spent tens of billions of dollars in ways that did not serve, (and in some cases even harmed), the core national interests of the United States.

In consultation with Congress, we intend for the remaining 18% of programs we are keeping (approximately 1,000) to now be administered more effectively under the State Department.

Thank you to DOGE and our hardworking staff who worked very long hours to achieve this overdue and historic reform.

So, who are the big losers in the crackdown on USAID, and what programs and policies that harmed or did not serve the national interest were they funding?

Iran’s Terrorist Regime Is Wounded, Not Dead —Watch It Carefully by Majid Rafizadeh

https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/21726/iran-terrorist-regime

Now comes the more difficult and longer-term task: making sure Iran’s regime does not rise again…. Iran is still a revolutionary Islamist state that sees the US as the great Satan, sees Israel as a cancer, and believes that its divine mission is to conquer and export its Islamist revolution to the West.

Khamenei’s declaration was that of a theocrat who thinks that Trump’s Western talk of “you often get more with HONEY than you do with VINEGAR” is laughable, pathetic and that of a “loser.” In Khamenei’s view, if Trump were not weak or stupid or both, Trump would have killed him. Khamenei no doubt believes that Allah is on his side; that Allah, not Trump, saved him; and that his regime is therefore invincible.

Anyone who knows this part of the world understands that Khamenei will not thank Trump. Khamenei clearly does not see Trump’s reprieve as mercy. Khamenei doubtless sees his survival as a confirmation that Allah protected him, and that it is infidel America that is worthy of contempt and being eliminated.

The Iranian regime has a long history of attacking and killing Americans, starting with having kidnapped the members of the US embassy and held them for more than a year.

There is also the possibility that other countries might be eager to sell Iran nuclear components — for “peaceful purposes,” of course.

There appears to be a dangerous tendency in the West — especially among liberal elites and international bureaucrats — to celebrate ceasefires as solutions. A ceasefire with a regime such as Iran is not a solution or “peace.” It is a pause, a breathing space, to regroup, re-arm and resume plotting.

This must be the end of the Iranian regime. Not a pause. Not another “negotiation.” The end. Would the US have let the Nazi Party remain in power after World War II? Anything less, really, is a betrayal of the American people, the amazing Israelis, the extraordinary American pilots, and the West.

How Anti-Zionism Became a Western Rite A political movement rooted in ancient Jew-hatred is now a generational identity

https://www.tabletmag.com/sections/news/articles/antizionism-became-western-rite

It’s official: Jew hatred is trending among millennials and older Gen Z. On June 28, the rapper Bobby Vylan’s chants of “Death, death to the IDF” were broadcast by the BBC and enthusiastically echoed by tens of thousands of people in the live audience of 200,000 at the Glastonbury Festival, many of whom were waving Palestinian flags. “Hell yeah, from the river to the sea,” intoned the aptly named Vylan, “Palestine must be, will be, inshallah, it will be free!” Vylan’s performance was a coda to Zohran Mamdani’s June 24 victory in the Democratic primary for mayor of New York, a city with the largest population of Jews (1.3 million) outside of Tel Aviv. Mamdani—who supports the boycott, divest, sanctions movement, has expressed his “love” for convicted funders of Hamas, and has defended calls to “globalize the intifada”—got 52 percent of the under-45 vote among primary voters.

Many of Vylan’s fans and Mamdani’s base of young, white, college-educated, and affluent voters would doubtless agree that “there is only one solution, intifada, revolution!” But what problem is this globalized intifada intended to solve? Evidently, it’s not just Israel, but also the West, whose foundational values and successes the Jewish state epitomizes. The “solution,” therefore, is not simply to cleanse the land of Jews “from the river to the sea” but also to eradicate Western civilization.

Open hatred of Jews flourishes in periods of societal instability and license, when the decency and decorum that protects them from assault by their fellow citizens is suspended. The claim that Jews killed Christian children to use their blood in the preparation of Passover matzoh offered an excuse to torture and murder whole communities from the 12th century until at least 1946, when 42 Jews were slaughtered for it in Kielce, Poland. Today, the “blood libel” is back in a new form: the allegation that Israel is targeting Gazans, particularly children, for genocide. Propagated by people who inwardly despise Christianity’s moral and spiritual teachings, including far-right antisemites, this malicious falsehood has fueled widespread indignation and outrage in the West. Some have taken matters into their own hands, targeting Jews for violence wherever they may be found.

In celebrating the spilled blood and broken bodies of Jews, the motley assembly of antisemites has replaced God’s bond with a modern-day pagan cult.

What Would a Palestinian State Be Like for Jews? They’ll likely not be allowed to find out. by Robert Spencer

https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm-plus/what-would-a-palestinian-state-be-like-for-jews/

What would happen to Israel’s nine million Jewish inhabitants if Israel were destroyed and a “Palestinian” state were established on its land? What if some of the Israeli Jews managed to survive the genocide that would almost certainly follow the collapse of the Jewish state, and the wholesale murder of Jews elsewhere that the left and its jihadi allies would indulge in even after Israel were gone? What would become of those surviving Jews?

Whatever became of them, they would not be allowed to live in a new “state of Palestine.” A former Jordanian MP, Muhammad Abd Al-Qader, made this clear in a 2012 interview in which he emphasized that not only would Muslims prohibit any Jews from living in the former Israel, but would destroy everything the Jews had built there (as they did when they took over Gaza in 2005): “When the Jews sense security and stability, which are provided by the ruling regimes around them, [they initiate] security, economic, and political enterprises. They build skyscrapers. That time, [their punishment] will be worse, and [their enemies] will ‘visit with destruction all that fell into their power.’ In other words, the Muslims will destroy these security and economic enterprises, as well as these buildings, until not a single Jew can hope to remain on this sacred land, and until not a single Jew living outside this sacred land can hope to come here.”

This was not just the opinion of Muhammad Abd Al-Qader. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas also said in July 2013 that no Jews would be allowed to live in the future Palestinian state, which he envisioned as encompassing all of the present State of Israel: “In a final resolution, we would not see the presence of a single Israeli — civilian or soldier — on our lands.” Palestinian Authority diplomat Saeb Erekat reiterated this in January 2014: “Anyone who says he wants to keep settlers in the Palestinian state is actually saying that he doesn’t want a Palestinian state. No settler will be allowed to stay in the Palestinian state, not even a single one, because settlements are illegal and the presence of the settlers on the occupied lands is illegal.”

What Happened to Loving America? As pride in America plummets, especially among the young, it’s clear we haven’t just failed to teach history—we’ve failed to teach why the nation is worth loving at all. By Stephen Soukup

https://amgreatness.com/2025/07/05/what-happened-to-loving-america/

Just in time for Independence Day, Gallup released polling results showing that a remarkable number of Americans are losing faith in their country and what it represents. Unsurprisingly—given who controls the levers of power in the federal government—Republicans are more proud to be Americans this year than last, while Democrats are significantly less so. What’s troubling, however, is that pride in the nation has fallen considerably among political independents and has fallen, over time, among all age groups of respondents. Most disturbingly, only 58% of American Millennials and a scant 41% of Generation Z-ers are proud of their country. “Notably,” as Gallup puts it, “more Gen Z Democrats say they have little or no pride in being an American (32%) than say they are extremely or very proud.”

Some observers, including some who are very smart and very well plugged in, have suggested that a big part of the problem here is that American kids simply aren’t taught today what makes this country so great. Instead, kids are taught more about the nation’s weaknesses than its strengths, more about its failures than its far more numerous successes. These observers ponder the question asked by President Reagan in his farewell address—“Are we doing a good enough job teaching our children what America is and what she represents in the long history of the world?”—and they answer, “Clearly, we are not.”

There’s not much to dispute here. This conclusion is almost inarguably correct. The American education system, at all levels, is woefully derelict in its teaching of history, American history in particular. What young children are taught about this nation’s past focuses largely on the negative, while overlooking most of the positive aspects.

Unfortunately, there’s much more to it than just that. The lack of education about America’s rich and amazing history is a small part of a much larger problem. It is more a symptom than the illness itself.

Pride in one’s country—or “patriotism”—is more than just a “feeling.” It is more than a mere emotional response to the power a nation wields or the victories it accumulates. Rather, patriotism is a virtue, which is to say that it is a good and productive reflex, a positive behavior, but it is something that itself must be taught, must be teased out of “the little human animal.” It is not enough merely to teach history. We must also teach the appropriate way to respond to that history. Among other things, patriotism is the means by which we come to know what is important and valuable, and moral in our community. And it must begin, therefore, with a common understanding of what is important and valuable and moral in our community.
