Los Angeles Will Soon Be In Shackles Again

https://issuesinsights.com/2022/07/19/los-angeles-will-soon-be-in-shackles-again/

If trends continue, Los Angeles County will issue an indoor mask mandate by the end of the month. Officials are of course saying they’re just following the guidelines. But they have no regard for freedom and refuse to acknowledge the data that show mask mandates are useless.

It’s as if they get a perverted thrill out of holding in their hands the raw power to dictate the terms of other people’s lives.

Los Angeles County reached the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s high community level last week. Which is “determined by looking at hospital beds being used, hospital admissions, and the total number of new COVID-19 cases in an area.” If it remains “there for the next two weeks,” the Los Angeles Times reported Friday, “the county will reissue an indoor mask mandate with an effective date of July 29,” not even five months since the most recent of its multiple mask mandates was lifted.

Though she’s likely to deny it, Los Angeles County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer, who is not a doctor, not a physician’s assistant, not a nurse, not even a receptionist at a doctor’s office, but a social welfarist, has been looking forward to July 29 for some time.

What is the state of the fake “state of Palestine”? Diane Bederman

What is the state of the fake “state of Palestine”?

It is on a course to crash and burn. The idea of a Muslim state called Palestine only came into existence when the USSR, under Khrushchev, wanted a foot-hold in the Middle East in the 1960’s.

This information comes from “SOVIET RUSSIA, THE CREATOR OF THE PLO AND THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE,” by Wallace Edward Brand.

It was the USSR against America during the Cold War. The 1960s and 1970s were the years the Soviets were in the business of creating “liberation organizations”: for Palestine and Bolivia in 1964, Columbia 1965, in the 70s “The Secret Army for the Liberation of Armenia” that bombed US airline offices in Europe, and “The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine” that bombed Israelis. But the PLO, was by far its most enduring success.

In the PLO Charter preamble they actually had to use the phrase “Palestinian Arab People” to exclude those Jews who had retained a presence in Palestine since Biblical times and had been a majority population in Jerusalem as early as 1845. Romanian Communist dictator Ceausescu, at Soviet urging, persuaded Arafat to abandon his claim of wanting to annihilate the Jews in Israel in favor of “liberating the Palestinian People” in Israel.

Major General Ion Mihai Pacepa, highest ranking Soviet bloc defector, spoke of the creation of a fictitious “Palestinian People” who allegedly demand political self -determination. The account is also corroborated by Zahir Muhsein, a member of the PLO executive board. In an interview by the Dutch newspaper Trouw in 1977, he stated that there is no such thing as the “Palestinian People”, that the term’s use is a political ploy, and there is no quest for political self-‐determination — that as soon as the Jews have been wiped out, sovereignty would be turned over to Jordan. Hafez Assad also has stated there was no “Palestinian People”; that prior to 1964 the Arabs in Palestine called themselves “citizens of Greater Syria”. During WWI the British offered the local Arabs self-determination if they helped in the war against the Ottoman Empire but the local Arabs fought on the side of the Ottomans to the eternal gratitude of the Turks.

This is from Pacepa’s article “Russian Footprints” in National Review Online.

“In 1972, the Kremlin decided to turn the whole Islamic world against Israel and the U.S. As KGB chairman Yury Andropov told me [Pacepa], a billion adversaries could inflict far greater damage on America than could a few millions. We needed to instill a Nazi-‐style hatred for the Jews throughout the Islamic world, and to turn this weapon of the emotions into a terrorist bloodbath against Israel and its main supporter, the United States. No one within the American/Zionist sphere of influence should any longer feel safe.”

Now that we have established the “creation” of a fake people in a fake state, let’s move on to today.

Today, the Muslim Arab countries have no need for a Muslim “Palestine.” They are no longer in league with the Russia against the West. In fact it appears that the Muslim world is more at odds with each other: Sunni Saudi Arabia and Shia Iran. The Saudis do not want Iran to have a nuclear bomb which seems to be the desire of the Democrat Party in America along with Russia and China. When Donald Trump came along and began the miraculous Abraham Accords between Israel and the Arab world, the fate of the Muslims in their fake state no longer concerned them. With the Abraham Accords, September 15, 2020, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain charted a new course in the history of Arab-Israeli relations by recognizing the State of Israel and normalizing diplomatic relations. Later that year, two other Arab nations, Sudan and Morocco joined. The Accords establish a foundation for peace and collaboration that can be tapped into by any country interested in cooperation. Many in the Arab world realize that Israel is needed to protect them from Iran. And they see the greatness of the accomplishments of the Jewish people in the Jewish state of Israel, a state, a people, a religion, a culture for more than 3000 years:a state, a people that survived 3000 years of intense Jew hatred.

The Jew haters warn that “normalizing relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia without addressing the ongoing occupation of the Palestinian territories will worsen regional tensions.” They say “establishment of diplomatic ties between Israel and the UAE” is a betrayal. How dare the Gulf neighbors choose economic benefits and shared security concerns about Iran over their moral responsibility to the Palestinian people?

Arab Muslim countries have given billions to the Palestinians and the money has gone to their corrupt leadership, instead. The money has been used to promote the one thing in which they have excelled: terrorism; pay for slay, and teaching hate in their schools instead of, I don’t know, math, economics, co-existence.

A typical lesson in the PA schools.

“What should be done with the Jews who will survive after the liberation of Palestine?”
The answer: Extermination!

“We will sing and learn by heart: The Land of the Noble Ones
I swear! I shall sacrifice my blood in order to water the land of the noble ones
And remove the usurper [Israel] from my country and exterminate the defeated remnants of the foreigners [in Arabic: ubid fulul al-ghuraba’]
O, land of Al-Aqsa and the holy site [haram], O, cradle of pride and nobility
Patience, patience, for victory is ours and dawn is peeping out of darkness”

(Our Beautiful Language, Grade 3, Part 2 (2019) p. 66.)

While the UN, the EU and America continue to support the PA, Arab financial aid to the United Nations Relief and Work Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has dropped by 90% in the past few years, according to the agency’s spokesperson Adnan Abu Hasna.

The awakened MENA, Middle East and North Africa, is busy working with Israel. Their gains by seeking peace with Israel will far outweigh anything they may gain by supporting what they all know is a fake people living on Jewish land as stated clearly in the Bible that Islam accepts.

May be an image of 1 person and text

What better proof of the détente between Israel and Saudi Arabia than the fact that President Biden took a direct flight from Israel to Saudi Arabia. This despite the fact that he and his Democrat cronies want nothing more than to disrupt the Accords by constantly referring to the needs of the made-up Palestinian people

And Saudis will also give permission for Israeli Muslims to take direct charter flights so they can participate in annual pilgrimages to Mecca.

Normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia, the custodian to the Two Holy Mosques and protector of the Two Holy Cities is earth shattering in the Middle East. “It is an open secret that the Saudis have many quiet contacts with Israel and extensive cooperation in many important areas. These contacts take place both behind the scenes and increasingly out in the open, with many Israeli businessmen reportedly traveling to Saudi Arabia on Israeli passports in recent months. There will be broad support for a deal with the Saudis, particularly given that the deals with the UAE, Bahrain and Morocco have proven so successful.”

Not reported in MSM (I didn’t hear it – did you?) the Saudi foreign minister announced this year at Davos, “We always envisioned that there will be full normalization with Israel.

The Saudis know they cannot trust America to stop Iran’s development of a nuclear bomb, but they can thrust Israel!

Another nail, a big one, in the coffin of “Palestine.”

Whoever thought that the cozying up to Iran by Obama and now Biden – his lackey, would lead to the fall of “Palestine”? America, along with China and Russia are supporting Iran. And that pushes the Sunnis into the arms of Israel. Arms that hold out the promise of peace and all the profits that come with peace.

Calling Israel an apartheid state, cries of BDS are just noise. The leaders of the Muslim countries in MENA will lead the way to the end of the fake state of Palestine. They know full well that the made up country of Palestine is really part of the state of Israel; since time immemorial.

There is one more benefit of the Abraham Accords: it has significantly reduced the amount of antisemitism in the media of Gulf countries and Morocco. And if this continues it will positively affect the world response to Israel.

Peace and prosperity will win out. Too many Muslim leaders know that their very existence in a world where three leading world powers, America, Russia and China stand with Iran; the country that calls for the death of Israel, Jews and America: that Israel is their protector. And that knowledge will drown out the noise of hate from “Palestinians” and their allies on the left, and calls for a two state solution.

Only one state will lead to peace and prosperity for the Muslim countries: ISRAEL.

The state of the fake “state of Palestine”?

With the continued support and promotion of the Abraham Accords, the normalization between Israel and the Arab world, the flight path for “Palestine” is Crash and Burn.

When Will They Figure Out That Reducing U.S. Carbon Dioxide Emissions Is Pointless? Francis Menton

https://www.manhattancontrarian.com/blog/2022-7-17-when-will-they-figure-out-that-reducing-us-carbon-dioxide-emissions-is-pointless

The Supreme Court’s West Virginia v. EPA decision a couple of weeks ago has brought forth a big wave of hand wringing in the precincts of the left. How oh how are we now going to save the planet, if our friends at the EPA can no longer order up a nation-wide energy system transformation on their own authority? A couple of examples of the genre come from Ron Brownstein in the Atlantic, and from Coral Davenport in the New York Times, both from Friday July 15.

The funny thing about these pieces, and many others like them, is that the authors seem to have completely lost track of, or failed to follow, what has happened and continues to happen in the arena of international energy consumption. When I started to follow this area in about 2000, the U.S. and Western Europe together accounted for close to two-thirds of world energy consumption, the large majority of it from fossil fuels. Perhaps at that time it was plausible to believe that if only the U.S. and Western Europe could be weaned off the fossil fuels, and could show how that could be done, then the rest of the world would quickly follow along.

But that was more than two decades ago. In the intervening twenty-plus years, the U.S. and Europe have achieved some small reductions in their emissions, but the emissions from the developing world — mostly but by no means exclusively from China — have soared. And they continue to soar. Neither China nor any other large-population developing country has agreed to forego using coal or any other fossil fuel to achieve rapid economic growth. Today U.S. emissions stand at about 15% of those of the world, and continuing to shrink rapidly as a percentage, even if they remain about steady in absolute terms.

China’s Trojan Horse Confucius Institutes Persist on Campuses Benjamin Weingarten

https://www.newsweek.com/chinas-trojan-horse-confucius-institutes-persist-campuses-opinion-1725085

Would any sane nation permit its enemies to freely propagandize at its educational institutions; intimidate faculty into silence, self-censorship, and complicity in enemy information operations; and hold funds over said institutions’ heads as leverage?

If the answer is a resounding “No,” as it should be, then it is hard to see the American academy as anything other than insane—and dangerously so—when it comes to China and its Confucius Institutes, as a bombshell report from the National Association of Scholars (NAS) makes clear.

The report demonstrates that news of Confucius Institutes’ death in America has been greatly exaggerated. The story of Confucius Institutes in America is a cautionary tale illustrating the ability of China to weather efforts to combat its malign machinations, and the corruption of the very institutions that ought to be standing as bulwarks against the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

The CCP’s modus operandi in its long march towards global hegemony has been to encourage “open,” seemingly non-hostile relations with foreign nations to penetrate, exploit, and influence them. The West has for decades, both out of greed and naiveté, been all too willing to comply. Confucius Institutes, which began appearing in the U.S. in 2005, and came under heightened scrutiny during the Donald Trump presidency, were but one aspect of China’s game.

Evidence emerged that of the more than 100 institutes on college campuses at their peak, these purported centers of U.S.-Chinese cultural exchange, which sometimes offered for-credit classes, were funded, guided, and staffed by and in accordance with the CCP, serving as Trojan horses for the regime that enabled it to project soft power.

“Two Kinds of Detente” David Goldman

https://lawliberty.org/two-kinds-of-detente/

Historian Niall Ferguson, the official biographer and occasional alter ego of Henry Kissinger, proposed to “dust off that dirty word détente and engage China” in a June 5 essay for Bloomberg News. Wrote Ferguson:

Back in the 1970s, that little French duo-syllable was almost synonymous with “Kissinger.” Despite turning 99 last month, the former secretary of state has not lost his ability to infuriate people on both the right and the left—witness the reaction to his suggestion at the World Economic Forum that “the dividing line [between Russia and Ukraine] should return to the status quo ante” because “pursuing the war beyond that point could turn it into a war not about the freedom of Ukraine … but into a war against Russia itself.”

Ferguson distinguished himself earlier this year as a skeptic of Western policy towards Ukraine, writing for example on March 9:

Western media seem over-eager to cover news of Russian reverses, and insufficiently attentive to the harsh fact that the invaders continue to advance on more than one front. Nor is there sufficient recognition that the Russian generals quickly realized their Plan A had failed, switching to a Plan B of massive bombardment of key cities, a playbook familiar from earlier Russian wars in Chechnya and Syria.

The Stolen Republic: Kevin McCullough

Why would the seated administration sue a state over a constitutionally verifiable action it takes—especially when 80% or more of its own supporters are in favor of that action? Specifically why would *President Joe Biden choose to sue the state of Arizona over a state statute, handling the state’s business?

You may say, “it’s none of the Federal Government’s business what that state decides internally within its borders.” And you would be right.

The Biden DOJ did that just a bit more than a week ago.

The state of Arizona, in conjunction with the will of its people, passed a law that requires proof of citizenship in order to be able to cast a ballot.

Many states already have such a rule. So why Arizona?

It’s not rocket science.

Arizona sits on the southern border. Millions of non-citizens have entered in recent months. And if each of them could score a ballot, then less-than-honest people can harvest them and use them to stuff drop boxes as was done in 2020.

Less than honest people like Guillermina Fuentes. The former mayor of San Luis was just convicted in June of slinging a web of ballot harvesting in the border town.

A Look Back at the First Disastrous ‘Two-State Solution’ Victor Sharpe

“It is not from 1947 or 1967 that the relentless aggression against Israel by the Arab and Muslim world and the so-called Palestinians began. To fully understand its origins, we must go back to the early years of the 20th century.”

It was oh so predictable that Joe Biden’s disastrous visit to first Israel and then to Saudi Arabia would not augur well for peace but exacerbate the situation by continuing to unearth the rotting corpse of the failed Two-State-Solution and encourage false Palestinian sovereignty over the eastern half of Israel’s ancient and ancestral 3,000 years old Jewish capital: Jerusalem.

The Biden regime wishes to perpetuate the so-called status quo in the city by giving another $100 million dollars of American taxpayer money to the Palestinian Authority, a terrorist organization, even as it incites more violence and is directly responsible for the killing of Israeli men, women, and children on an almost daily basis. This is a hideous stain upon America, for it is those U.S. dollars that provide the Palestinian Arab terror boss, Mahmoud Abbas, with the means to continue his murderous policy known as “Pay to Slay.” All the murderous terrorists whom Abbas sends to kill Israeli civilians are paid a generous pension if they are jailed by Israel. If they are killed while in the execution of their barbarous campaign of carnage, then the money goes to their families. This is how American taxpayer money is being used.

Joe Biden’s Middle East trip David Wurmser

https://centerforsecuritypolicy.org/situation-report-joe-bidens-middle-east-trip/

The final verdict on the trip appears to be that the Saudis, Bahrainis, and UAE trust Israel more than the U.S.

President Biden spent almost a week in the Middle East recently, during a period of critical regional importance, and manages to depart having alienated nearly every major player.

Iran is reaching the breakout point on a nuclear weapon. Israeli leaders were eager to speak face to face with their American counterparts about applying more muscle into forcing Iran to back down.  The Saudis expected a shift in U.S. policy on both Iran and about the criticism of the Saudi government for the Khashoggi affair. Riyadh was signaling a willingness to turn over a new leaf in the U.S.-Saudi relationship by increasing oil production and moving quickly to establish deeper public relations with Israel.

The Palestinians expected the United States to press Israel into allowing the reopening of the formal U.S. consulate to the Palestinians. The consulate, located on Agron Street (in the pre-1967 western half of Jerusalem), was closed during the Trump administration. Reopening it would signal a shift aligned with American and global progressives and more hostile to Israel. Jordan, in addition to backing the Palestinians, expected the United States to reinforce its demand to erode, or even erase, any Israeli sovereignty over any part of eastern Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount.

Virtually nobody was pleased by the outcome of the trip, however.
