Report: Democrats feel gloomy over election by Paul Mirengoff

https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2020/12/report-democrats-feeling-gloomy-over-election.php

The Washington Post reports that “Democrats see grim prospects in final election results despite Biden’s win.” The main reason for Democrats’ pessimism is Joe Biden’s poor performance in precincts the Democrats think they should carry easily. The Post’s Michael Scherer writes:

Voters in the once Democratic Ohio county that surrounds the shuttered Lordstown General Motors plant delivered a decisive victory last month to the sitting president who had promised and failed to save their jobs.

In the heavily Hispanic South Bronx, the liberal sanctum of San Francisco and the immigrant-rich neighborhoods of Miami, President Trump also shrank Democratic margins by drawing thousands more to his side. He even swept the 31 Iowa counties that voted twice for Barack Obama before choosing Trump in 2016. . . .

Party strategists now speak privately with a sense of gloom and publicly with a tone of concern as the election results become clearer. They worry about the potential emergence of a mostly male and increasingly interracial working-class coalition for Republicans that will cut into the demographic advantages Democrats had long counted on.

Biden still outpolled President Trump by around 7 million votes (minus whatever one thinks the number of fraudulent votes was). And given the structure of the American economy, the “working class” isn’t large enough to carry the day for Republicans, at least not as long as Democrats hold the edge with its non-White members.

Key Trump Adviser Peter Navarro Confirms Democrat Ballot Fraud Lewis K. Uhler and Peter J. Ferrara

As courts continue to invent excuses to refuse to hear the mounting documentation of a stolen 2020 presidential election, it is becoming clear that the final path to a resolution for the country may be found only by casting conflicting slates of electors in those states with evidence that President Donald Trump’s win was corruptly denied. The most detailed and persuasive outline of those election thefts can be found in Trump adviser Peter Navarro’s 36-page review of the election entitled “The Immaculate Deception – Six Key Dimensions of Voting Irregularities”.

After midnight on Election Day, the vote count in six battleground states was mysteriously halted – all at about the same time – and “everyone” was told to go home. At the time, Trump was comfortably ahead in four of the six states and headed to easy reelection. The vote margins for Trump on election night in the now suspect states were: Georgia – 356,945; Pennsylvania – 555,189; Michigan – 293,062; Wisconsin – 112,022.

In two more battleground states, Arizona and Nevada, Biden was only narrowly ahead. But projections showed that Trump would win when all the legal votes were properly counted.

Democrats have a long history of election tampering and ballot fraud, going back over the previous two centuries. The corrupt political machine in New York in the 1800s was called “Tammany Hall.” In the 20th century in Chicago, corruption was known by the name of former Mayor Richard Daley. The “Daley Machine” was ultimately exposed in the 1960 presidential election helping John Kennedy take Illinois from Richard Nixon. Plus, some dirty tricks in Texas put Kennedy over the top (former Senate Majority Leader Lyndon Johnson of Texas was on the ballot that year as Kennedy’s vice president).

The practice in 1960 was to call Daley in Chicago and inform him of the number of votes needed in his city to overcome the downstate Republican votes. This year, that same tactic was employed in all six battleground states by various methods. In fact, the voting irregularities are more than enough to change the results in all six states, crying out for prompt correction. For example, in Georgia, a long-time Republican state, Biden’s final lead is only 11,779, with more than 400,000 ballots in question. In Arizona, another long-time Republican state, Biden’s margin is only 10,457, with over 100,000 disputed votes.

Who would want to be Joe Biden’s attorney general? The prospect of tit-for-tat investigations and prosecutions of former administrations is not a happy one Charles Lipson

https://spectator.us/want-joe-biden-attorney-general/

Whoever Joe Biden picks for attorney general is in a lose-lose situation. Why is that job so hard? At least three reasons stand out:

The ongoing criminal investigations of Joe Biden’s family
A boiling cauldron of divisive legal questions facing the new administration, particularly immigration and gun control
Pressure to investigate everything the Trump administration ever did

All those will land in the attorney general’s lap. The first one, involving the Biden family, is especially vexing.

The probe into Biden’s grifting kin will face the AG immediately. The President-elect’s son Hunter and brother James both grew rich by trading on the family name. That, in itself, is not illegal. What they did to earn the money may be, though, and both Hunter and James are currently being investigated for serious crimes. Hunter, in particular, seems to be targeted for non-payment of taxes on foreign income, money laundering and more. Looming over the investigations is whether Joe Biden himself played a direct role, either as Barack Obama’s vice president or after leaving office. He has flatly stated he did not.

Hunter’s former partner in a Chinese energy venture, Anthony Bobulinski, has said Hunter and his father spoke frequently about business. More damning is Bobulinski’s statement that he met with Joe Biden twice, with Hunter and James present, to discuss their business projects. He has said the discussions were fairly general, but they were clearly about the Chinese business venture. (He has since spoken with the FBI and presumably told them the same thing.) President-elect Biden, for his part, has repeatedly denied discussing any business dealings with Hunter but has not said if he ever met Bobulinski. The press hasn’t bothered to ask.

Attorney General Barr has previously said that there were no investigations of either party’s presidential or vice presidential candidates. That means Joe Biden has not been implicated. If his name turns up later in the investigations of Hunter or James Biden, the DoJ’s standing rule is that a sitting president cannot be indicted.

Arizona Senators Sue to Enforce Subpoenas for Election Equipment, Records By Ivan Pentchoukov

The president of the Arizona Senate and the chairman of the state senate’s Judiciary Committee filed a lawsuit on Dec. 21 asking the Maricopa County Superior Court to enforce a pair of subpoenas that sought ballot tabulation equipment and voting records from county election officials.

Arizona Senate President Karen Fann and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Eddie Farnsworth, both Republicans, had issued the subpoenas to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors on Dec. 15. In response, the board voted against complying and filed a lawsuit to determine whether it is obligated to produce the materials sought.

The Arizona Senate lawsuit (pdf) states that after the Nov. 3 election, state lawmakers were inundated with questions and complaints from citizens who were concerned with the integrity of the election and whether their votes were correctly counted.

“In consultation with President Fann, Chairman Farnsworth determined that these widespread concerns warranted a comprehensive independent investigation by the Judiciary Committee, to include a full forensic audit of tabulation devices and other voting equipment in Maricopa County,” the lawsuit states.

The senators plan to use the results of the audit to determine whether to certify or reject the presidential electors for Joe Biden, which have been transmitted to the U.S. Congress and are due to be counted on Jan. 6, 2021.

The first subpoena requested access to ballot tabulations used in Maricopa County for the Nov. 3 election, in addition to related software, hardware, and removable media. The senators also requested voter rolls, voter records, paper ballots, and other records. The second subpoena demanded a number of electronic files, including images of all the ballots cast in the county on Nov. 3.

Rep. Elect Ritchie Torres, a Progressive Democrat, Rips AOC’s Israel Hating ‘Squad’

https://www.tuskerdaily.com/rep-elect-ritchie-torres-a-progressive-democrat-rips-aocs-israel-hating-squad/

Ritchie Torres may be a progressive Democrat, but he won’t be signing up with AOC and her band of mental midget misfits which Nancy Pelosi nicknamed the ‘Squad’.

Ritchie Torres, is going to Washington next month to represent the South Bronx in Congress.

But despite his being a Bernie Sanders loving Progressive Democrat, he says you won’t see him paling around with Democratic Socialists like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib anytime soon.

Torres,32, cited his strong support for Israel as a primary distinction between ‘the Squad’ and true progressives like himself.

“I came to observe that there are activists who have a visceral hatred for Israel as though it were the root of all evil.

The act of singling out Israel as BDS [the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement] has done is the definition of discrimination.”

Torres, who has served on the New York City Council since 2013, says he was moved by trips to Israel in 2015 and 2017.

Amistad Project Says State Legislators, Not Executive, Need to Certify Presidential Electors By Janita Kan

https://www.theepochtimes.com/amistad-project-says-state-legislators-not-executive-need-to-certify-presidential-electors_3629806.html

A group has brought a lawsuit on Tuesday seeking to block the counting of electoral college votes from several contested states when Congress meets in a joint session on Jan. 6.

The Amistad Project filed the lawsuit arguing that the state legislatures of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, and Arizona were prevented from exercising their power under the U.S. Constitution to certify the presidential electors’ votes cast on Dec. 14. The group claims that a number of federal and state laws had unconstitutionally delegated the authority of state legislatures to certify these votes to state executive branches.

Under Article II of the U.S. Constitution, presidential electors must be appointed by each state in the manner prescribed by the state’s legislature.

The group argues that the provision prevents state legislatures delegating their power to state executive branch officials as a ministerial duty.

“There are textual and structural arguments for these state statutes being unconstitutional,” the group wrote in their lawsuit. They argue that the state laws are an “unconstitutional delegation of the state legislative prerogatives of post-election certifications of Presidential votes and of Presidential electors.”

The lawsuit also argues that state legislatures, many of which are adjourned until January 2021, are also prevented to meet to perform their post-election certification duty. In order to conduct a special legislative session, a supermajority or a governor must agree that legislators should meet. However, the group said the governors from these states are preventing the state legislatures from doing so.

“The very body that is responsible for how these electors are selected, can’t even meet after the election, up through January. So that’s unconstitutional, in that it’s a delegation of authority to a governor of a legislative function. That is not allowed,” Phill Kline, Director of the Amistad Project, told The Epoch Times’ American Thought Leaders.

Why I will not accept Joe Biden as president Unwillingness to accept election result grows out of a level of outrage unlike anything previously experienced Newt Gingrich

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2020/dec/21/why-i-will-not-accept-joe-biden-as-president/

A smart friend of mine who is a moderate liberal asked why I was not recognizing Joe Biden’s victory.

The friend made the case that Mr. Biden had gotten more votes, and historically we recognize the person with the most votes. Normally, we accept the outcome of elections just as we accept the outcomes of sporting events.

So, my friend asked why was 2020 different?

Having spent more than four years watching the left #Resist President Donald Trump and focus entirely on undoing and undermining the 2016 election, it took me several days to understand the depth of my own feelings.

As I thought about it, I realized my anger and fear were not narrowly focused on votes. My unwillingness to relax and accept that the election grew out of a level of outrage and alienation unlike anything I had experienced in more than 60 years involvement in public affairs.

The challenge is that I — and other conservatives — are not disagreeing with the left within a commonly understood world. We live in alternative worlds.

The left’s world is mostly the established world of the forces who have been dominant for most of my life.

My world is the populist rebellion which believes we are being destroyed, our liberties are being cancelled and our religions are under assault. (Note the new Human Rights Campaign to decertify any religious school which does not accept secular sexual values — and that many Democrat governors have kept casinos open while closing churches though the COVID-19 pandemic.) We also believe other Democrat-led COVID-19 policies have enriched the wealthy while crushing middle class small business owners (some 160,000 restaurants may close).

In this context, let’s talk first about the recent past and the presidency.

The strangest political alliance in history has brought us to this point By Jared Peterson

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/12/the_strangest_political_alliance_in_history_has_brought_us_to_this_point_.html

The radical left and corrupt big city Democrats, on the one hand, allied with the mega billionaire tech, social media, and, to some extent, “ordinary,” billionaire elites, on the other. The Bolshevik revolutionaries and their army of thugs and rent seekers, on the one hand, the globalist super rich, on the other. The Marxists and the most materially fortunate and successful in America. Weird. The richest capitalists on the planet and those who would destroy capitalism. Lenin and the Tsar. Very, very weird.

One would think there will be a price to pay for this kind of bizarre marriage between those who despise each other. Surely the couple will be sterile, and besides, will be at each other’s throats within a few months.

But don’t count on it. After all, the two are united by an intense mutual desire for money and control: The elites for even more unimaginable wealth through globalism (and for control for their purposes); the Bolshevik revolutionaries and their mob by the lust for trillions in funny money, continuously doled out to them all (and for control for their purposes). Bigger yachts and slicker private jets for one, reparations for slavery, abolition of student debt and guaranteed income for bums for the other. And tons of cash for the governmental administrators and elected officials.

So, they do have a common interest. It might make their marriage work.

And as far as a reckoning in  2022 and 2024 is concerned, don’t be so sure. The coup perpetrators proved the risk-free efficacy of their template for electoral theft this time: No electoral crime, no method of vote manipulation or theft, is too obvious as long as the media and big tech are with you.

Why can’t 2020 be endlessly replicated? Watch Georgia carefully.  2020 showed the criminals that there is no remedy for electoral fraud – absolutely none. Not in state or federal lower courts, not from local officials, not in state legislatures, not even from officials in the party that lost, and surely not from the cowardly United States Supreme Court. There’s no danger from any institution in 21st century America, regardless the enormity of the crime. So, tell me why it can’t happen again. On January 5 in Georgia. In 2022. In 2024. Ad infinitem.

Joe Biden has outlived his usefulness By Alan Bergstein

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/12/joe_biden_has_outlived_his_usefulness.html

If you think Joe Biden’s term as presumed president will extend through a full four years, there are a few used Dominion voting machines I’m offering to sell you at discounted prices.  In fact, I’ll make a prediction that his trusted staff of doctors, within three weeks after the inauguration, if not sooner, will sadly come to the conclusion that the Big Man has developed some severe mysterious symptoms requiring him to resign his office and hand it over to his V.P., Kamala Harris.  Under the provisions of the 25th Amendment, enacted after President Kennedy’s assassination, it appears that when Kamala assumes the role as president, she can nominate someone to replace her as V.P.  If you recall, back in 1974, after Nixon resigned and Ford assumed the presidency, Ford nominated Nelson Rockefeller to be his V.P.

Uneasy Democrats know that Biden must leave office as quickly as possible.  He cannot face the simplest of questions from exasperated media who catapulted him into office.  They want some answers as to what Joe has planned to handle domestic and international problems.  They can no longer ask him what his favorite ice cream flavors are or give him ready-made questions about how he loves and believes in his son, Hunter.  They might even go so far as to press him on why his selection of Cabinet members and his team of burned out advisers all seem to be retreads from the regimes of Obama and Clinton.  Where are the new ideas to douse the fires of new situations?  Expect the snarling tigers at the gates, the leaders of Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran, to soon start testing Biden with military threats to our overseas allies.  Our loyal friends in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Israel, Egypt, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe are holding their breath, awaiting the onslaught from their enemies.  It’s coming.

Joe has already exhausted his usefulness to the party.  His job is done.  He was loyal and played out his role while entombed in his basement, letting the obviously criminal mail-in ballots, bogus voting machines, and heaven-sent Chinese virus slide him into office.  But Joe can no longer hide from view.  He appears unable to give an unrehearsed vision of his plans to re-unite a severely divided country, nor can he soothe the anxieties of a world being strangled under the virus.  He still hasn’t unveiled his blueprint covering the continual search for, distribution of, and monitoring of the efficacy of the myriad of mind-boggling cures and preventatives now pouring out of labs.

He is obviously mentally at a standstill.  He has to go as quickly as possible after being sworn in.

Tainted Tallies Tell Tall Tales By K. Lynn Lewis

https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2020/12/tainted_tallies_tell_tall_tales.html

Cheating and then claiming, “I won!” does not make a person a winner.  Fraud — whether organized or disorganized, isolated or widespread, individual or coordinated — disqualifies results.  When flags are thrown and violations confirmed, penalties are assessed and downs replayed.  Occasionally, violators may be rejected or time added back to the clock.  Confirmed chicanery requires vacated victories and reassignment of crowns.

Election totals fuel widespread declarations and serve as the basis for future ratified actions.  But if tallies are tainted, the claims are based on false data, and consequential actions are illegitimate.  The point of pursuing election integrity, in any election and at any and every level, is to indisputably confirm facts and incontestably dispel fiction.

Consider AP Washington Bureau chief Julie Pace’s widely shared unequivocal assertion that the 2020 presidential election is over.  She contends, “It is increasingly clear that there is no fact, no piece of evidence and no court ruling that will dissuade Trump from trying to mislead Americans about President-elect Joe Biden’s victory[.] … In reality, Biden won 306 Electoral College votes, the same number Trump carried four years ago in a victory he deemed a landslide.  Biden also outpaced Trump by more than 7 million votes nationwide.”
