It is bad enough that Israel is forced to combat terror from Hezbollah, Hamas, the Palestinian Authority and Palestinians bent on its destruction. But the Jewish State is also forced to deal with the enemy within. New research reveals that a majority of Arab citizens of Israel support terrorist organizations, including ISIS and say radical Islamists best-represent their true feelings.

The 2015 index measuring Arab-Israeli and Jewish-Israeli relations, published in part for the first time on Tuesday, exposes just how deep contempt for the Jewish people runs among Israel’s Arabs, who say that they are not the least bit ashamed of groups like ISIS and in fact find them good representatives of their people.

Professor Sami Samucha, who conducted the research study, found that 57 percent of Arab-Israeli citizens polled say they feel the “radical Islamic Movement in Israel” comprising various terrorist factions, “faithfully represents them.”

The research also revealed that 42.2% of the Arab population including all its ethnic and religious groups define themselves as fans, members or activists of the Islamic Movement. No less than 18.2% of Arab Muslim citizens of Israel, and 28.1% of all supporters of the Islamic Movement, said they do not consider Islamic State (ISIS) to be a radical terrorist organization, and that they are not ashamed of the brutal jihadist group.

Professor Samucha said he finds the strong support for ISIS a troubling revelation and noted how Arab politicians in Israel must be lying as they had openly denounced the terror group.

Arab citizens of Israel enjoy freedoms, privileges and a standard of living they’d never receive anywhere else in the Muslim world, yet repeatedly bite the hand that feeds them.

As citizens represented in local and national government, they pose real security threats to Israel in addition to the myriad other threats faced by the Jewish State from outside its borders.
