Teens in Jordan Think ‘Honor Killings’ are Justified:
Belief that honor killings are justified is still common among Jordanian teenagers, a Cambridge University study revealed on Thursday.
The study by researchers from the university’s Institute of Criminology found that almost half of boys and one in five girls interviewed in the capital, Amman, believe that killing a daughter, sister or wife who has “dishonored” or shamed the family is justified.
“Researchers surveyed over 850 students, and found that attitudes in support of honor killing are far more likely in adolescent boys with low education backgrounds,” a statement said, adding that the research is …

A British drive to put Hezbollah’s armed wing on the EU’s terror list again ran into resistance on Wednesday from governments concerned it would fuel instability in the Middle East, diplomats said.
Britain’s request was discussed for a second time by a special European Union group following an inconclusive meeting on June 4, but British diplomats failed to win over a number of skeptical governments.

Hamas-Backed CAIR Files Complaint against Florida Professor:
A professor is facing a formal complaint for how he teaches students at the University of Central Florida Wednesday.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations claims Jonathan Matusitz (pictured below), a UCF professor, supports an anti-Muslim hate group.
It said in the letter the professor is a member of Act for America, a group that is against Muslims.
Matusitz told Channel 9 he’s spoken to the organization before.
The letter asks UCF to review the professor’s teachings.

A 20-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a young woman who was beheaded in a knife attack in Sheffield.
Aras Hussein appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court accused of murdering Reema Ramzan, 18.
Miss Ramzan, who was from the Darnall area of Sheffield, died on June 4 following an incident at a property on Herries Road, in the city.
Detectives said she suffered a severe knife attack resulting in fatal injuries, including the severing of her head.

Philadelphia Church becomes a Mosque:
First it was a synagogue, and then a church and now the property at 7401 Limekiln Pike will be transformed into a mosque.
The former West Oak Lane Church of God complex in Northwest Philadelphia has a new owner. Masjidullah Inc. (pronounced Mass-jid-Allah) purchased the church building and office annex for $1 million last month.
“All of us are in shock we were able to pull it off,” said Nafeesa Malik, Masjidullah assistant treasurer and Sunday school director. “I find it very exciting. It literally happened overnight.”
