Exclusive: Hey, Liberals: It’s the Jihad, Stupid – What’ll It Take to Convince You?

Pam Meister

In the wake of the attempted Times Square bombing, liberals and their legacy media cheerleaders jumped eagerly on the news that the suspect might be “a white man who appeared to be in his 40s walking away from the area as he looked over his shoulder and removed a layer of clothing.” Meanwhile, NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg was given a platform to speculate that the suspect might be “a mentally deranged person or somebody with a political agenda that doesn’t like the health-care bill or something.” Obviously it was “far more likely to me that the perpetrator of the bungled Times Square bomb plot was either a lone nut job or a member of some squirrely branch of the Tea Party, anti-government far right,” a sentiment shared by many a liberal blogger.

Then came the undeniable fact that the suspect is one Faisal Shahzad, who was often seen wearing traditional Muslim garb and a naturalized American citizen from Pakistan who – surprise surprise – was tutored in the art of bomb-making while on a recent trip to the land of his birth, where at least four others have been detained in the investigation. Would you like cream and sugar with your steaming hot cup of jihad, or do you prefer it straight up?

So, when faced with facts, what do liberals do? After all, the fact that it happened in Times Square in New York automatically makes it a big story. They can’t just sweep it under the rug like they did the story of the American Muslim convert in Arkansas who allegedly killed two soldiers outside a military recruiting center in Little Rock. So, they start whining and moaning about potential backlash against Muslims, bravely warning that there will be “no tolerance” for any bias. Bias by pious Muslims against kuffir (non-believers) obviously isn’t much of a concern. Just ask the creators of South Park.

In fact, media is busy sympathizing with the guy, whose charmed life “unraveled,” being one of millions of Americans who lost their homes to foreclosure. On his program earlier this week, Rush Limbaugh took a call from someone who pointed out that millions of people have had their homes foreclosed on – should New York City be looking for millions more car bomb attempts? My neighbors recently walked away from their house, which is now up for sale by the bank. Somehow, I don’t expect to see their names in the headlines as disgruntled former homeowners looking to get revenge by setting a bomb in the Big Apple – or anywhere else, for that matter.

Good question. Perhaps if those millions had received bomb-making training in Pakistan, I might have reason to be concerned. Maybe if Shahzad hadn’t spent so much of his money spending five months in Pakistan, maybe he wouldn’t have lost his house.

Ooh, ooh, Mr. Kotter! Let’s not forget the most important point: Faisal Shahzad had a thing against George W. Bush. The man’s no longer in office but he’ll continue to be blamed for everything that goes wrong in this nation well after he’s gone to his eternal reward.

CNN’s Contessa Brewer even admitted on camera to what many of her colleagues probably think but know better not to say publicly:

BREWER: I mean the thing is that and I get frustrated and there was part of me that was hoping this was not going to be anybody with ties to any kind of Islamic country because there are a lot of people who want to use this terrorist intent to justify writing off people who believe in a certain way or come from certain countries or whose skin color is a certain way. I mean they use it as justification for really outdated bigotry.

And so there was part of me was really hoping this would not be the case that here would be somebody who is not the defined. I mean he’s accused he’s arrested you know I don’t want to convict him before it’s time to do so. He’s the guy authorities say is involved. But that being said I mean we know even in recent history you have the Hutaree militia from Michigan who have plans to let’s face it create terror.

That’s what they were planning to do and they were doing so from far different backgrounds then what this guy is coming from. So, the threat is not just coming from people who decide that America is the place to be and you know come here and want to become citizens. Obviously this guy did.

Yeah, it’s so insensitive of us to imagine that an attempted car bombing might have been perpetrated by a Muslim, considering that a majority of recent terror attacks – either successful or unsuccessful – have been by Muslims, either from Islamic nations or homegrown converts. We’re obviously not as evolved and sensitive as Contessa Brewer is.

One blogger notes something that liberals in and outside of the media seem to have missed (emphasis mine):

I have read several reports on the Car Bomb in Times Square and a few have noted that the car was left outside The Lion King, on Broadway, between 45th and 46th Streets. I have seen little discussion of the significance of that location. Of all the shows on Broadway, the great majority are directed at adults and have predominantly adult audiences. The Lion King, on the other hand, specifically attracts children, who are brought there in large numbers by their parents and grandparents. This attack targeted our children.
Sadly, this is the MO of our enemies in the Ummah; they specifically target attacks against children and other innocents, their ideology ennobles such attacks, and successful attacks are celebrated across the Muslim world.

But no matter; what’s more important is that we don’t offend the sensibilities of any minority and that we look for any reason at all, other than the one that’s staring us in the face, for the actions of a “lone wolf,” “amateurish” terrorist wannabe – so amateurish that he nearly got away from the feds. How’s that system working for ya?

The point is this: To liberals, if you are a white person (bonus points if you’re male and a Christian), you are automatically guilty of something. Anyone else with different skin color or a different belief system is automatically to be given a pass or, if inconvenient facts get in the way, given multiple excuses why he did what he did. Because it couldn’t be something as simple as a radical ideology that would cause them to want the rest of us either dead or under the thumb of Islam and Sharia Law. That would be “racist,” or some such liberal claptrap. Just like it’s “racist” to want to keep our borders secure against what constitutes an invasion from nations to our south.

If we allow liberal white guilt to continue to further the national narrative, we may as well don our burkas and get our prayer mats out now. Because there are millions of people like Faisal Shahzad out there, both overseas and here at home, waiting for their chance to fight – and die – for the glory of Allah. And the more kuffir they can eliminate in the process, the better.

I’m not ready to roll over and play dead. Are you?
