Vaccines Free Us From Fauci’s Despotic Reign Soon, life will be back to normal — and no longer controlled by politicking public health experts. by Reed Spaulding IV, MD

One year into this pandemic, we are seeing signs of hope that life will return to normal sometime this year. States across the country are relaxing COVID restrictions. This is drawing criticism from some, including President Biden, calling such moves “Neanderthal thinking.” Perhaps it takes one to know one, Joe. Who let you out of the basement, anyway? Far from being Neanderthals, millions of people are rightfully celebrating a relative return to normalcy in many states across the country. Godspeed to them, I say.

How did we get here? How did we come to a point where we feel gratitude that our government is “allowing” us to begin to live normally again? COVID itself undoubtedly harmed many people’s health and has sadly killed over half a million of our citizens, but the mitigation policies also have caused much harm to others. Many of us have been shocked to learn that we live in a country where the stroke of an executive’s pen can shutter businesses, force masking, etc., with no legislative input whatsoever.

How did they get away with this type of societal control? Well, every good story of psychological manipulation has a bogeyman (or perhaps I should say “bogeyperson,” to please the woke crowd). Whom did the writers of 2020 pencil in as the monster in this tale? In order to maintain complete control, they intelligently picked the most damning and insidious villain possible. They picked you.

Last spring, Dr. Anthony Fauci tried to reassure folks concerned about asymptomatic spread of COVID-19 that “In all the history of respiratory-born viruses of any type, asymptomatic transmission has never been the driver of outbreaks. The driver of outbreaks is always a symptomatic person.” This was weeks before the days of mask mandates, before the days when you became the asymptomatic bogeyman. Since those comments, Fauci and many others in public health have been working overtime to convince people that the most dangerous feature of this pandemic actually is asymptomatic spread. If there is no asymptomatic spread, then why should you, a well-feeling, non-febrile person, be forced to participate in the masquerade ball at the grocery store? Why would you dare hug your grandmother, let alone visit her — are you trying to kill her?! You’re the monster, you with your potential asymptomatic infection.

This raises the question: How much spread truly is asymptomatic? Depends on whom you ask. The most recent CDC model, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, claims that “59% of all transmission came from asymptomatic transmission, comprising 35% from presymptomatic individuals and 24% from individuals who never develop symptoms.” Some infectious disease experts have claimed this model is an overestimation, and others have (laughably, if you ask me) claimed that it may actually underestimate the rate of asymptomatic spread. As with any mathematical model, the inputs determine the outcome. I am not an epidemiologist, but I tend to agree with Dr. Fauci of March 2020, not Dr. Fauci of March 2021. That’s not to say that I doubt the veracity or intentions of the researchers who have modeled this data. But it would truly be a paradigm shift to think that a respiratory virus was spread more by the words and breaths of asymptomatic carriers than by the coughs and sneezes of symptomatic ones. I simply don’t buy it.

The truth is, frankly, we can’t know for certain how much spread comes from asymptomatic infection. Thankfully, other real-world data is telling us that it doesn’t even matter at this point, now that highly effective and safe vaccines are increasingly available to the public. Data from Israel shows that the Pfizer vaccine is 94 percent effective at preventing asymptomatic transmission of COVID. While the claims are yet to be peer-reviewed, they presumably will be in short order.

This is a game-changer, folks. This is the “get out of jail free” card we have all been waiting for. As the weeks go by, more and more data of this type will emerge, confirming what common sense demands it should: vaccines will significantly reduce both symptomatic and asymptomatic spread of COVID. This is welcome and wonderful news indeed.

Your vaccine will relieve you from your anointed role as bogeyman in this saga. It pulls the rug out from under the COVID narrative writers’ feet. This ends the story of “Do I need to wear a mask here?” or “What capacity is that restaurant operating at over there?” You want to help end this pandemic? You want to feel certain that you aren’t dropping old folks left and right as you walk through a store? Here’s some advice on what you should do: roll up your sleeve, get your shot(s), tell the writers of the dark, manipulative narrative of 2020 to go straight to hell where they belong, and start living like a normal human again as soon as possible.
