“Own” Truths vs. Reality Edward Cline

https://edwardcline.blogspot.com/2018/01/own-truths-vs-reality.html

“We don’t care about facts. We ignore them. It’s racist to cite facts. It’s our feelings that determine what is real or relevant, not facts. What we feel is the true reality. We have our own truths. Oprah said so.” However, as many “non-#Resistance” commentators have observed, there is no such thing as one’s “own” truth. There is just reality, or facts. An individual doesn’t own reality, nor is it true if he does assert he that does. To him, reality is malleable, changeable,  clay putty to be turned into anything he wishes, because he  “doubts.” He is the practicing icon of Descartes’s dictum, “I think, therefore I am.”  And they don’t care if they’re called hypocrites. Labels, after all, mean nothing to these doyens.

Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe (D.) swore on national TV that if he runs for President against President Trump in 2020, he’ll hit Trump, if he stands behind him, as he did to Hillary, and knock him down. He also said it earlier on an independent  boast on the Virginia state site. “You’d have to pick him up from the floor.” However:

Under United State Code Title 18, Section 871, it is a felony for an individual to “knowingly and willfully” make a “threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States.” The punishment for this crime is severe, with a possible 5-year prison sentence and a fine of $250,000.

Doubtless the Secret Service would intervene immediately and cuff him on serious charges, one of which would be assaulting the President.  Synonymous to treason. Jail time for the pugnacious governor. McAuliffe’s madness is indicative of the rampant, emotion-driven hatred exhibited for Trump and his supporters by him, by most Democrats, and by the MSM.  All because his supports helped  Trump wipe the floor and used a broom to sweep her from presidential aspirations. McAuliffe and #Resistance all suffer from reckless delusions of wanting to be like Rocky. But all they ever do is “float like a butterfly” but never sting like a bee. Trump seems to be immune to their snickers and sneers.

The best way to confuse a Democrat or anyone who professes to be a Progressive is to insist on arguments from facts. To separate his feelings from what is. He’ll refuse to do it. He’ll sputter and look demonic and spray you with his drool.  End of argument. He’ll be so divorced from reality you could convince him that a bar of butter is a bar of gold. Asking a Progressive to think is like asking a turtle for the square root of 2.

For example, the Democrats wanted a study that would prove that illegal gun sales were the bane of the country. But when the General Accounting Office concluded that such sales were hard to quantify, and also because too often gun sellers were reluctant to answer a question by a government agency, the Dems asked for a “better” study.

Kerry Picket of the Daily Caller wrote January 15th:

Democratic lawmakers don’t like the methodology that the Government Accountability Office used to find that it’s difficult to buy firearms illegally on the internet.

The Democrats requested the report on online gun sales, but now they seem to want a new study to be conducted with different methodology.

“Well, when we send something to GAO, we allow them to do the process that they think makes sense. But we do have a disagreement with their methodology, and we’re going to go and sit down with them and discuss how to get at the problem,” Hawaii Democratic Sen. Brian Schatz told The Daily Caller last Thursday.

He continued, “Our view is that it is still absolutely possible to legally purchase guns online. The way that the GAO analysts did it is, they announced to the sellers, ‘Hey I’d like to buy some guns illegally.’ I think the sellers are wise enough to that to decline, so we did not agree with their methodology, but we’ll continue to work on this issue.”

The GAO report stated that its investigators tried to illegally purchase firearms on both the “Surface Web” and the “Dark Web.” The investigators “revealed their status to the sellers as individuals who would ordinarily be banned from buying these weapons legally,” according to the report.

“Private sellers on Surface Web gun forums and in classified ads were unwilling to sell a firearm to our agents that self-identified as being prohibited from possessing a firearm,” the GAO said.

So, if sellers were unwilling to sell prohibited guns to government agents, it warps the study in a way the Dems don’t want to see. They’d rather the sellers sell their guns indiscriminately, to “Prove” that gun sales are unwelcome.

Of the 72 attempts agents made to purchase firearms on the Surface Web, 56 sellers refused to complete a transaction once we revealed that either the shipping address was across state lines or that we were prohibited by law from owning firearms.”

In the other cases, the investigators’ website was frozen or they encountered suspected scammers.

Ultimately, the GAO is “not making recommendations in this report.”

To the Dems, the conclusions were unwelcome. The reported facts did not fit into their ideal conclusion. They’d rather see a fairy land of guns salting the country in private hands and deserving of regulation (or more regulations). Reality is unacceptable to them. When Obama’s Attorney General, Eric Holder, rigged “Fast & Furious,” there were no such complaints or whining. Holder eventually was revealed as the shyster he is, to help advance Obama’s crusade to disarm all those “gun clingers” Obama demonized.

There has always been a question of how Barack Obama attended Harvard and how well or badly he did there. Many of his personal records are still sealed, including his academic records.  In September 2008 Ken Timmerman asks the question.

How exactly did Barack Obama pay for his Harvard Law School education?

The way the Obama campaign has answered the question was simply hard work and student loans.

But new questions have been raised about Obama’s student loans and Obama’s ties to a radical Muslim activist who reportedly was raising money for Obama’s Harvard studies during the years 1988 to 1991.

The allegations first surfaced in late March, when former Manhattan Borough president Percy Sutton told a New York cable channel that a former business partner who was “raising money” for Obama had approached him in 1988 to help Obama get into Harvard Law School.

In the interview, Sutton says he first heard of Obama about twenty years ago from Kalid Al-Mansour, (not the Saudi soccer player) a Black Muslim and Black Nationalist who was a “mentor” to the founders of the Black Panther party at the time the party was founded in the early 1960s.

Sutton described al-Mansour as advisor to “one of the world’s richest men,” Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal.

Timmerman’s article winds up at a dead end, because Percy Sutton’s relatives denied he ever said that Mansour had anything to do with Obama, even though Sutton said Obama knew Mansour in an interview.  But the video connection between Sutton and Mansour and then to Obama must be archived somewhere.

Prince Alwaleed catapulted to fame in the United States after the September 11 attacks, when New York mayor Rudy Guiliani refused his $10 million check to help rebuild Manhattan, because the Saudi prince hinted publicly that America’s pro-Israel policies were to blame for the attacks.

Sutton knew Al-Mansour well, since the two men had been business partners and served on several corporate boards together.

As Sutton remembered, Al-Mansour was raising money for Obama’s education and seeking recommendations for him to attend Harvard Law School.

Whether or not Talal was a secret funder of Obama’s Harvard years is an open question. It is very possible he was Obama’s Harvard “sugar daddy.” It still remains a subject of speculation. Though, given Talal’s investments and holdings, he is too likely a candidate. Pittance like the cost of Harvard Law School tuition would be small drop in the bucket to someone like Talal, practically invisible, but Occidental College in California and Harvard would conform to the Muslim Brotherhood’s goal of conquering America by stealth and by blatant political action by an “Islamic Candidate.”

would be a good, long-term investment in the political grooming of a man who wished to “transform” America and subject it to the whims and demands of Islam. Funding Obama’s education at

High-profile Saudi Arabian investor Prince Alwaleed bin Talal owns chunks of private and public companies in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East through Kingdom Holding Co., 5% of which is listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange (he is listed as owning the other 95%). Holdings include stakes in the ride-sharing firm Lyft, social media firm Twitter, Citigroup, hotel management company Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, the swanky Hotel George V in Paris and the Savoy Hotel in London.

Will Never Give In

Reports of Islamic attacks come to this site daily. It is especially discouraging to read about what is happening in Germany and England (https://mail.google.com/mail/#inbox/160fe3bdb148d970 and from https://mail.google.com/mail/#inbox/160fdb8e65a28d1c). How to fight the Islamic Swamp and its clueless Lefty allies? Write. Use that freedom to oppose and fight the “inevitable.” Never submit.  Never give in.
