Obama of the “if I had a son, he would look like [Trayvon Martin]” prattle, has a very peculiar way of showing his concern for children of all ages. In the U.S. Department of State Trafficking in Persons Report 2015, Secretary of State John Kerry asserts that
. . . this is no time for complacency. Right now, across the globe, victims of human trafficking are daring to imagine the possibility of escape, the chance for a life without fear, and the opportunity to earn a living wage. I echo the words of President Obama and say to them: We hear you, and we will do all we can to make that dream come true. In recent decades, we have learned a great deal about how to break up human trafficking networks and help victims recover in safety and dignity. In years to come, we will apply those lessons relentlessly, and we will not rest until modern slavery is ended.” – John F. Kerry, Secretary of State
Yet, “a Reuters examination, based on interviews with more than a dozen sources in Washington and foreign capitals, shows that the [American] government office set up to independently grade global efforts to fight human trafficking was repeatedly overruled by senior American diplomats and pressured into inflating assessments of 14 strategically important countries in this year’s Trafficking in Persons report.” In fact, “. . . analysts in the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons – or J/TIP, as it’s known within the U.S. government – disagreed with U.S. diplomatic bureaus on ratings for 17 countries [.]”
And, while the State Department claims that “the ratings are not politicized” many of the most egregious violators of human trafficking, i.e., Malaysia were removed from Tier 3 which is designated “for countries that fail to comply with the minimum U.S. standards and are not making significant efforts” to improve.
Even Sen. Robert Menendez, New Jersey Democrat stated that “the latest report on human trafficking was under exceptional pressure to shape the rankings to meet political demands, not the facts on the ground.”
Though Obama claims human trafficking is “one of the great human rights causes of our time,” why then is the office established in 2001 by a congressional mandate “increasingly struggling to publish independent assessments” of these offending countries? Furthermore, why did it take nine months for Obama to nominate someone to be a director for the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons (J/TIP). Why the foot dragging?
In August of 2015 Investor’s Business Daily noted that “human trafficking has expanded significantly since Obama stopped enforcing U.S. border laws.” Additionally, “. . . Cuba and Mexico were removed from lists of nations that support smuggling networks. So political machinations have endangered the safety of these border-surge children, who are being lured by some of the most evil people on earth.”
As more children illegally enter the United States, and are perfect prey for human traffickers, what productive medical efforts are being made by the Obama administration to monitor the grievous health conditions so many exhibit? In July 2015, “[t]he Daily Mail (UK) reported . . . upwards of 100 children in 34 U.S. states have been afflicted with a mysterious paralysis called acute flaccid myelitis. A suddenly paralyzed 6-year-old tested positive for enterovirus C105, a newly-discovered virus that is related to polio. It is possible these two ailments entered the U.S. piggybacking on immigrants, illegal or otherwise.” Moreover, “pneumonia and swine flu broke out . . . at a housing facility for almost 600 young illegal aliens at Naval Base Ventura County, outside Los Angeles.”
In addition, “[m]ulti-drug-resistant strains of tuberculosis, a . . . disease considered to have been more or less eradicated in the United States, have been reported in populous California, Florida, Texas, and New York, all of which have large concentrations of illegal aliens.” And while “lawful immigrants are screened for tuberculosis . . . obviously illegal aliens who do not come into contact with authorities are not.” And even though illegal alien children are being detained at facilities, these same locations are so overwhelmed that many of the illegals are just being released to fend for themselves.
What is Obama doing to aid the illegal children who have the myriad of diseases? Are they being screened and treated? What is the cost to the American taxpayer? What is the increasing burden on hospitals and doctors? Furthermore, as the Obamacare lawlessness continues to spiral, how will medical facilities and medical personnel deal with children exhibiting measles, drug-resistant tuberculosis, and chagas,? Six months ago, the “California measles outbreak was ‘likely’ a result of the influx of illegal immigrant children welcomed to America by the Obama administration.” And what oversight, if any, is being made of the Syrian Muslims now being brought into the United States?
Does Mr. Obama have sleepless nights worrying about the fact that “since 2005, ICE and its local law enforcement partners have arrested more than 30,000 gang members, leaders and associates” many of whom come from Central America and Mexico? How to explain that to the American child who gets caught in a drive-by shooting? But then again, Obama only mentions the Chicago decimation of young people by gang warfare when it serves his purpose to control gun ownership by law-abiding Americans. After all Chicago already has one of the strictest gun control laws in the land. What of those little babies, Mr. Obama?
When he finally leaves office, Obama will leave the young people of America with a staggering $20.3 trillion debt burden. This translates into young people owing $235,000 per person to pay off this debt. It is unconscionable. In addition, the crushing costs of Obamacare on a segment of the population who wasn’t able to afford health insurance in the first place, merely adds to the financial burden. In fact, “a 2013 survey by . . . economist Douglas Holtz-Eakin, . . . concluded that young people’s premiums will rise by an average of 169% – more than those of any other demographic group.” The taxes that need to be levied to uphold Obamacare are an additional onerous weight on the shoulders of the millenial generation.
Then there is the “free” education scam that Obama touts. To paraphrase a Talmudic[1][1] authority, “never was a slanderer so skilled as [Obama] because of his ability to spread lies that are based on kernels of truth.” Of course, young people need access to universities, trade schools or community colleges in order to succeed in the 21st century but at what ultimate cost? Obama’s student-loan system merely encourages a steeper rise in tuition and a higher rate of loan defaults.
Eventually this so-called complimentary free education will result in higher taxes of the very same people who were lured into this “pie in the sky” notion. Thus it has always been with socialist notions that promise utopia but instead produce dystopian societies based on coercion and punishment when the piper comes for payment. How does this help the young of this country?
Finally, Obama’s economic policies have produced a stagnant economy and young people are unable to find satisfying and financially rewarding occupations. Obama is leaving the country with a depressing “teenage unemployment rate of 24.5%.” This, of course, has long term consequences on a young person’s ability to make the most of his or her potential.
And with his latest faux concern for transgender individuals, Obama denigrates those who express legitimate concerns about the possible dire emotional and financial consequences of such a radical overhaul of society. He no more cares about the young who will be so affected than the fact that the yet unborn generation will have to deal with his deliberate financial manipulations bent on weakening America. In fact, his “new transgender plan for K-12 schools recommends parents be secretly excluded from any decisive role when their children experiment with sexual ‘gender identities’ as male or female.”
Nor is Obama troubled about the physical safety of the next generation as he weakens America’s military, putting the entire nation at greater risk from Islamic terror, a term he cannot even bring himself to say. Who will eventually have to defeat this evil, if not the young people? Responsible adults work to safeguard their young, not deliberately put them in harm’s way.
Child Abuse has been “defined as an act, or failure to act, on the part of a parent or caretaker that results in the death, serious physical or emotional harm, sexual abuse, or exploitation of a child, or which places the child in an imminent risk of serious harm (42 U.S.C.A. § 5106g).” Obama has saddled the young American and the unborn American in strikingly harmful ways. Too many of them have been exploited by his lies.
We have almost eight more months of Obama’s regime, but his legacy will last years and the young will bear the brunt of his callous indifference to them.
