Allies should have the same ideals and values. They stand together when one is threatened or feels threatened. They are willing to share intelligence and defense capabilities. They assist in saving each other’s lives on and off the battlefield. Yet the press, the Obama administration, and even some in the Jewish community have portrayed Israel as anything but an American ally, as an obstacle to peace. They have been neither objective nor fair in reporting Israel’s concerns, as evidenced by the attacks made against former Israeli ambassador to the U.S., Michael Oren, regarding his book Ally.

In her book Stonewalled, Sharyl Attkisson addresses the current problem with the media, since many are no longer, “willing to serve vigorously and effectively as the Fourth Estate watchdog to government and other powers.” Those who want to silence someone launch a propaganda campaign to divert from the damaging facts by focusing on something else, something she calls “controversializing.” This is happening to Michael Oren as the Obama Administration’s watchdogs have unfairly attacked him personally, while ignoring and brushing off the Iranian actions and rhetoric.

The nuclear deal with Iran will stoke more Sunni-Shiite violence, and the Saudis may go shopping for nukes.

While President Obama hopes his nuclear deal with Iran will burnish his presidential legacy as a great peacemaker, the near-term consequence will be more—and even bloodier—sectarian violence in the Middle East. In particular, security threats will escalate for Saudi Arabia and Israel, until now America’s two major Mideast allies.

The Israelis and Saudis, longtime adversaries, in recent years have joined in vehement opposition to Mr. Obama’s attempts to negotiate a nuclear deal with Tehran. For the Israelis the concern was entirely about an Iranian atomic weapon. But for the Saudis the fear was less about future nuclear capability than about the real and present threat that a deal would further enhance Iran’s regional stature and its capability to ratchet up the regime’s exploitation of regional sectarian divisions.

Case is being handled as a terrorism probe.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.—A 24-year-old Kuwaiti-born man opened fire at two military facilities here Thursday, killing four Marines and injuring three others before dying from a gunshot wound, authorities said.

The case is being handled as a terrorism probe, though officials cautioned they still hadn’t determined a motive for the shooting. The gunman was identified as Mohammod Youssuf Abdulazeez.

While the Federal Bureau of Investigation has been monitoring hundreds of suspected supporters of Islamic State, people familiar with the probe said Mr. Abdulazeez, who resided in the Chattanooga area, wasn’t on their radar as a potential threat.

Investigators are now scouring the details of Mr. Abdulazeez’s life, trying to determine if he had help, or if he had associates who also might pose a threat.

The first shooting began at about 10:50 a.m. when a gunman drove up and fired 25 to 30 rounds at a military recruitment center in a strip mall east of downtown Chattanooga, where one Marine was wounded, Pentagon officials said.

When NGOs receive sizeable portions of their budgets from governments, they are no longer non-governmental organizations. And when such funding is provided by allied states such as the U.S. or the UK, or international unions such as the EU, it constitutes disproportionate interference by external governments in the internal affairs of another democratic state.

“NGOs are meant to represent civil society, not the interests of foreign governments. Israeli NGOs that receive foreign government funding benefit from the misleading image of being ‘non-governmental,’ non-political, and based in ‘civil society'” — NGO Monitor.

NGO Monitor research reveals that a number of funders made their grants conditional on the NGO obtaining a minimum number of negative “testimonies.” It should be clear that a wide range of church organizations, human rights NGOs, and a number of European governments are engaged in an extremely one-sided enterprise to bring about the defamation and destruction of the Jewish state. All of these NGOs have much the same political agenda of defaming, pressuring and undermining Israel; and using human rights issues to promote a steadily negative view of the country, its government, its laws, and its defence forces.

U.S. and Iranian officials confirmed Thursday that no American nuclear inspectors will be permitted to enter the country’s contested nuclear site under the parameters of a deal reached with world powers this week, according to multiple statements by American and Iranian officials.
Under the tenants of the final nuclear deal reached this week in Vienna, only countries with normal diplomatic relations with Iran will be permitted to participate in inspections teams organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The revelation of this caveat has attracted concern from some analysts who maintain that only American experts can be trusted to verify that Iran is not cheating on the deal and operating clandestine nuclear facilities.

An Australian woman – Jodi Magi [pictured] – has been arrested, jailed and deported from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates after being found guilty of “writing bad words on social media about a person” – reportedly a cyber-crime in the United Arab Emirates.

Her crime?

Photographing a car in her apartment block that was parked across two disabled parking spaces without any disability stickers, blacking out the number plate, putting the photo on Facebook without any other identifiable detail and drawing attention to the seemingly selfish act.

Someone in the apartment block apparently complained to police and the case went to an Abu Dhabi court in June.

Hillary Clinton led the charge in the Obama administration to go to war in Libya. Her objective was to overthrow the regime of Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi. Not one to be deterred by opponents in the Pentagon and Congress to her reckless interventionist plans, Hillary decided to end-run them. Her State Department helped facilitate what Andrew P. Napolitano in his scathing article has called “Hillary’s secret war.” When the secret war began to backfire, as arms ended up in the hands of anti-American jihadists, Hillary Clinton and other senior members of the Obama administration engaged in lies, obstructions of congressional investigations and scapegoating to cover their tracks.
