On Wednesday, while President Barack Obama gave a commencement speech for the graduating class at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in which he decried the growing threat of climate change. A top military aide to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, announced his nation was prepared to rain thousands of missiles on the Jewish State, according to reports emanating from the Middle East media on Wednesday.

Ironically, on the same day Obama discussed global climate change at a military academy, the commander of the Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, told a class of graduating cadets that the Iranian nation’s enemies understand the language of force and weapons better. “The enemies are more familiar with the language of weapons and we also intend to confront them with the same language,” Jafari said, addressing Iranian cadets in a ceremony in the presence of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei at Imam Hossein University, the IRGC military academy in Tehran.

On Wednesday, Chairman Thornberry (R-TX), of the House Armed Services Committee, made the following statement regarding the President’s remarks at the commencement ceremony: “Today [Wednesday], President Obama had a chance to talk about the importance of a strong and secure America. Instead, he opted to put our military… on the frontlines of his war on fossil fuels. While Obama continues his constant political campaigning, Ramadi falls, ISIS gains ground, Russia puts pressure on Eastern Europe, North Korea and Iran build nuclear programs, and China literally builds itself a larger country.”

Meanwhile, Supreme Leader’s aide, Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, made several statements in response to the Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon talk of using “nukes” against the Islamist nation. Gen. Safavi said the Israeli military leader made an empty threat and warned that the Islamic Republic already has tens of thousands of missiles to rain down on the Israelis.

“The Zionists and the [United States] are aware of the power of Iran and Hezbollah, and they know that over 80,000 [Iranian] missiles are ready to rain down on Tel Aviv and Haifa. Iran is a powerful country which will [deliver] a crushing {blow] to them,” the Iranian general warned.

“Today [Wednesday], President Obama had a chance to talk about the importance of a strong and secure America.

He then told his people that Israeli leaders had best remember their defeat in the 33-day war against Hezbollah, which occurred during the President George W. Bush administration and that Israel is now facing a tougher and more powerful enemy. He further reminded them of recent statements made by the Iranian Supreme Leader: the Ayatollah, who is the commander-in-chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, has stated that if the Zionists make a silly move, “we will ruin Haifa and Tel Aviv.”

“The Zionists have many problems and they know that Iran is too powerful for them grapple with,” Gen. Safavi, a former top commander of the IRGC, said. The top military advisor also said that such boastful remarks by the U.S. and Israeli officials are only meant to serve as a ploy.

“We have displayed part of our military capabilities while we have kept many of our achievements and capabilities hidden to outsiders; our response will be crushing not just to the Zionist regime, but to any other aggressor who intends to take action against us,” he added.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Iranian Ambassador to the United Nations Gholam Ali Khoshrou blasted the Israeli military for raising the possibility of using nuclear weapons against Iran, and demanded that the U.N. Security Council condemn the Jews for their threat against international peace and innocent civilians.
