“If a day comes when the world of Islam is duly equipped with the arms Israel has in possession, the strategy of colonialism would face a stalemate because application of an atomic bomb would not leave any thing in Israel but the same thing would just produce damages in the Muslim world.”
—Former President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani.
Recalling the late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, leader of Iran’s Islamic revolution, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said: “As the imam said, Israel must be wiped off the map.”
“If they are committed enough to try to foment an attack here, and literally try to blow up the Israeli embassy here, or kill the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the U.S., let me suggest to you that the intent is so clear that our entire focus now should be upon dealing with the capacity.” Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.)
“Know your enemy” is sound advice for all times. And the deadliest enemy of the world is not the pompous lunatic, North Korean President, Kim Jong II of “divine birth.” Although the playboy tyrant is plenty bad, Jong is a smalltime menace compared to what lies just ahead: The “divinely-directed” mullahs ruling Iran with rock-solid resolve to carry out their “divine plan” of imposing their brand of Islam on the world with the help of the nuclear bomb. To frustrate the fanatical mullahs and defeat their existential threat, we need to understand how their minds work as well as the methods they use to achieve their deadly objective. “Iran has a demonstrated history of lying, misleading, and misinforming about their missile- and space-launch tests.
We no longer have a choice. We no longer can engage in the same old practices to deal with the massive and debilitating threats that face humanity. We must band together and pool our resources to meet the challenges. Our planet’s problems are no longer local problems that parochial thinking and practices can address successfully. We cannot squander even an ounce of our sorely needed energy in pity squabbles and personal fights.
The Nuclear Age
Ever since the United States detonated the first atomic bomb in New Mexico in July 1945, the ominous aura of the nuclear age has inspired hopes for a world free of nuclear weapons. However, since the end of the Cold War, the focus of concern has moved from the immense arsenals of the United States, Russia and China to worries about terrorism and the rise of new nuclear rogue states like North Korea and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Man has been called a “toolmaker,” which is supposedly a central reason for his dominance on the planet. We indeed have no rival in tool making. Our tools take us to the moon and back. We are immersed in more tools that we can name and more tools are made with every passing day. Our tools are indeed palpable testimonies to our creativity and the ability to meet what situations may demand or our desires dictate. Unfortunately, some of our tools are posing the real threat of obliterating the toolmakers—humanity.
Some of us lived under the horrific pall of nuclear annihilation during the decades of the Cold War. Then détente came, and people began to relax somewhat, and attempts have been made to prevent proliferation of nuclear tools into the hand of fanatical elements who may have no qualms in using them against their adversaries.
The terrible truth is that the fanatical elements hardly need thousands of nuclear weapons to transform the planet into a heap of radioactive ashes. A couple of nuclear bombs detonated in outer space can do immense damage by generating a powerful electromagnetic pulse (EMP) that could wipe out every electric device within thousands of miles.
Every electrical grid, every computer, every electric pump and innumerable other devices on which we critically depend will be rendered dead. The society will come to a standstill and we will likely suffer irreparable harm.
The ‘Mullah Problem’
A plethora of Western analysts have their diverse expert opinions regarding the “Mullah Problem” and what do about it. They are under the illusion that the mad mullahs in Iran will never dare to use the bomb, even if they had it. They concede, in doing so, it would be suicidal. They also tell us they are years away from anything resembling a credible bomb, in any quantities. And they lack the technological skills needed to make a workable device. They don’t have the means of hitting Israel with the bomb, their professed favorite target. They want the bomb for defensive purposes only. They would never hand the bomb over to proxy terrorists. They are visionary patriots planning for a future when the oil dries up. They are environmentalists aiming to curb global warming caused by the use of fossil fuel or they are striving to join the nuclear club for its prestige.
And on, and on, goes the litany of propaganda. We need to fully understand and take into account the resolve of the mullahs, since many of expert ideas are based on little more than divining information from the ether while seated comfortably in their ivory tower offices thousands of miles away from the ground reality where the enemy schemes and operates.
I believe, based on facts rather than wishful thinking, that every one of the above assertions, as well as all other similar dismissive arguments, are both false and fraught with danger, because all the above arguments are confounded by various amounts of denial.
Perhaps the most compelling dismissive argument is that the mullahs would never dare to use the bomb, since it would be suicidal to do so. This argument is just as flawed as the rest. The “mutual deterrence” argument may work in state-to-state confrontations. It apparently has worked in the past, and the hope is that it will work in the future. However, the mutual deterrence argument fails when a non-state entity is the adversary. The mullahs don’t have to lob a bomb at Israel or at anyone else to inflict huge harm. They can pursue their cause of death and destruction by simply providing their killers with dirty bombs in a suitcase. Given the mullahs’ fanaticism and Machiavellian nature, they would come up with a myriad of clever schemes to achieve their objectives.
The truth is: the Islamic Republic of Iran is advancing a nuclear program and is developing it. So, what is the likelihood that the ruling mullahs will actually use the bomb? If they remain in power long enough to have it, they are very likely to use it, in one form or another.
Blueprint for Survival
To get an accurate panoramic picture of Iran’s mullahs and their designs on the world, the Iranian people and their mindset, read “Operation Persian Gulf” by Amil Imani with Cyrus Azad.
From a command post in California, a group of highly motivated Iranian-Americans determine that the Islamic Republic must be stopped from developing an atomic reactor and nuclear bomb at any cost.
These intrepid and courageous freedom fighters define “heroic acts.” Heroes appear when circumstances call upon them. Heroes are those extraordinary people who make sacrifices and become agents of historical and social change.
This small band of young men and women targets vulnerable components of the mullahs’ nuclear and military facilities. The stakes could not be higher, and if these men and women fail in their mission, the Islamic Republic could become a nuclear state and a threat not only to its neighbors, but also to the existence of the only democracy in the Middle East, the state of Israel.
The “Operation Persian Gulf” mission is so secret, that it would take many years before the Islamic Republic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) understood exactly what had happened and who had pushed back their nuclear agenda. The Revolutionary Guard, “the guardian of the clerical regime,” is a huge enterprise with even huger ambitions than its outward appearance indicates.
Operation Persian Gulf” is an exhilarating action thriller, hair-raising suspense with heroic characters and a tale of mystery, love and adventure. It is made all the more intense because it could be unfolding right now. From the very first chapter of this book, it grabs your attention by the throat with both hands and doesn’t let go. The plot is incredible in every dimension and as current as today’s headlines. The authors’ Iranian background is an added impetus to the story.
Operation Persian Gulf” ranks with seminal works of fiction that ably portray reality: writings and movies such as those of The Heroes of Telemark, Where Eagles Dare, the television series Mission Impossible and biological terrorism thriller, Without.
Iran of today, on the one hand, has the potential of rapidly becoming a nuclear state and becoming a formidable adversary that would not settle for anything less than the total subjugation of the free world. On the other hand, in Iran’s people and culture is a genuine potential for replacing the doomsday-bent mullahcracy and making Iran the Free World’s staunchest partner in the Islamic world.
Don’t miss this suspense thriller with its timely plot to save the planet from nuclear Armageddon! Read “Operation Persian Gulf” and recommend it to others. It is imperative that free people make decisions based on an accurate understanding of the enemy and devise viable means of defeating it. “The barbarians are at the gate,” so to speak. We need to abandon complacency and infighting, and marshal all our resources to defeat them.
Past generations of Iranian heroes have always done so successfully defeating the Zoroastrian demon-god “Ahriman” (evil), and this new Iranian generation could do no less.
