A PLEDGE FROM THE SARASOTA MANATEE JEWISH FEDERATION OF FLORIDA

Below and attached is a board resolution of the Sarasota-Manatee Jewish Federation of Florida passed on April 21, 2011 opposing Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions and other related activities.

The Pledge is modeled on one published in the New English Review on March 20, 2011 in an article entitled, “A Pledge Against the Self Destruction of American Jews”.

The pledge has received the endorsement of several groups, among them, Americans for a Safe Israel, Endowment for Middle East Truth, Zionist Organization of America, Young Israel of America, Children of Holocaust Survivors of Los Angeles.

We commend the Sarasota-Manatee Jewish Federation of Florida for undertaking this important resolution. We trust that other Federations in America will similarly adopt such resolutions to demonstrate solidarity with fellow Jews, the Jewish State of Israel and its supporters in America and abroad.
