Another reason why I like Representative Michele Bachmann as much as Governor Sarah Palin. Both women have guts and send the liberal media into tailspins.

In a speech Saturday night at a Republican dinner in Helena, Montana, Bachmann talked about the incredible debt incurred by the liberal congress in such a short period of time. The deficit was at $8 trillion and jumped to $14 trillion under President Obama. Not only that, but it’s projected that the debt will increase to $20 trillion. How is this sustainable?

That’s not her only consternation. She railed against Obama’s “reign of error,” and Bachmann didn’t end their. She declared that Obama has ushered in socialism under his watch.

Folks, when the government owns car companies, banks, and now orders you to get health care, what else would you call it? Here is what I like about Bachmann, she’s not only willing to call a spade a spade, she is also promising that she is willing to fight to repeal Obamacare and all of Obama’s policies. This is why she is so popular among those of us in the conservative and Tea Party movement.

“I take my first political breath every morning with one thought in mind – repeal Obamacare,” Bachmann said. “That’s my motivation in life. … This bill is something else. It is the crown jewel of socialism. President Obama, and I’m willing to say it, ushered in socialism under his watch.”

She criticized federal bailouts that began under Republican President George W. Bush and continued at a far greater level under Obama.

“So now we the federal government still own Chrysler and GM,” she said. “We own the largest banks in America. We own the largest insurance company in America …

“Then after that we bought lock, stock and barrel Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. These aren’t just crazy aunts and uncles that you put up in your attic somewhere. These are largest secondary mortage insurance companies in America, which means the federal government today owns over 50 percent of all private mortgages in this country.”

She also blasted Obama’s environmental, national security and foreign policies
“My opinion is we can’t shut this president down fast enough,” Bachmann said to loud cheers.
