YESTERDAY WAS THE 65TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE END OF WORLD WAR 11

70 years ago on September 1st 1939, Germany invaded Poland without warning sparking the start of World War Two. By September 3rd, Britain and France were at war with Germany and within weeks, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and South Africa joined the Allies. The United states joined after Pearl Harbor on December 1941 and helped plan and execute the Normandy Invasion which crippled the Nazis an liberated France.
The war lasted six bloody years, in sweltering deserts in Africa and in insect ridden jungles in Burma, through the snows and ice of Norway and Belgium and Leningrad.
When American dropped the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki the war was effectively over.
In the end, 60 million died.
In the Nazi Holocaust against the Jews, one of every three Jews in the world was exterminate…men, women, children, secular, religious, alienated from faith….6,000,000 died.

Bless the memory of all the Allies who fought and died for freedom.
