“Inside every progressive is a totalitarian screaming to get out,” said the late, great David Horowitz, and during the dark days of the Biden regime, they were getting out. Rep. Abe Hamadeh (R-Ariz.) has just revealed that far-left, authoritarian Biden regime wonks actually placed him under surveillance in the “Quiet Skies” program, which was supposed to be dedicated to stopping terrorists. Trump’s Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, has previously revealed that she also was listed as a risk in the “Quiet Skies” program. For the Bidenites, the likes of Hamadeh and Gabbard were far more threatening than, say, an Islamic jihadi wearing a bomb vest and screaming “Allahu akbar.”
Hamadeh remarked: “It sadly doesn’t surprise me. At the time, if you remember, I mean banks were shutting down accounts if they promoted conservative viewpoints, if they were selling ammo or guns and the banks were being pressured by the Biden administration. You had social media companies censoring political voices that they didn’t agree with. So it shows you the depths that the federal government, how much sway they have, not just within the bureaucracy of the government, but also with private organizations and private actors as well.”
Hamadeh also noted that it was “interesting” that he was placed on the Quiet Skies list when he was: it happened “during the time period that I was challenging the results of my election in 2022 when I was running for attorney general, where that race was decided by 280 votes out of 2.5 million.”
Referring to his challenge of the initial results of that election, Hamadeh continued: “You know, this is a very legitimate challenge. This is something that both sides of the aisle have done routinely. So you don’t know if that was a factor.” All right, but we’re also talking about the party that suddenly decided, after challenging the results in every election that resulted in Republicans winning the presidency, that challenging election results was tantamount to treason. Hamadeh concluded: “And I would assume so, because at the time it was such a hostile environment with President Biden when he was in power. I mean, my God, they were calling MAGA fascists. They were calling us threats to democracy constantly.”
Indeed they were. Gabbard stated that in her case, during several air trips, both her boarding pass and that of her husband were marked with “SSSS,” that is, “Secondary Security Screening Selection.” If this notation shows up on your boarding pass, you’re in for special security searches that can cause you to miss your flight. Gabbard recounted that “it happened every time I boarded.”
TSA agents were as intrusive as if she had been a visiting al-Qaeda dignitary: “I’ve got a couple of blazers in there, and they’re squeezing every inch of the entire collar, every inch of the sleeves, every inch of the edging of the blazers. They’re squeezing or padding down underwear, bras, workout clothes, every inch of every piece of clothing.” Nor was that all. A whistleblower stated that Gabbard had “two Explosive Detection Canine Teams, one Transportation Security Specialist (explosives), one plainclothes TSA Supervisor, and three Federal Air Marshals on every flight she boards.”
Gabbard also recalled: “I use my military ID to get through security sometimes,” but now this no longer worked. One TSA agent was puzzled, and asked her: “Why are you Quad-S? You’re in the military?” Gabbard replied: “That’s exactly what I’m wondering. Then I said, ‘The only thing I can think of is, I work in politics.’ And he said, oh.” Oh, indeed. First the Biden regime turned the law enforcement apparatus of the United States government against its principal opponent, Donald Trump. But it was never going to end with Trump.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem stated: “It is clear that the Quiet Skies program was used as a political rolodex of the Biden Administration — weaponized against its political foes and exploited to benefit their well-heeled friends. I am calling for a Congressional investigation to unearth further corruption at the expense of the American people and the undermining of US national security.”
That’s all to the good. Such an investigation is long overdue and much needed. But it must be carried out in so thoroughgoing a fashion that Democrats are made to understand that should they regain power, they will not be able to perpetrate these totalitarian abuses of power ever again. Whether or not that will happen remains to be seen.
