SIMON FISCHLER: KERRY HAS CROSSED A LINE ON ISRAEL
http://blogs.timesofisrael.com/kerry-obama-still-hating-on-israel/
John Kerry has egregiously crossed all red lines and made a colossal mistake when it comes to American-Israeli relations. And, in so doing the Secretary of State once again displayed his natural instinct for baiting the only democracy in the Middle East.
Kerry’s ill-advised words spoken at the Council of Foreign Relations in New York condemn the man and his administration’s vicious policies.
According to Kerry, if Congress votes against the Iran agreement, “our friends in Israel could actually wind up being more isolated, and more blamed.”
Daring to blame Israel if Congress nixes the heinous nuclear deal he worked out with the Jew-hating ayatollahs is sheer madness, articulated by what appears to be a mad man.
When one thinks about it, Kerry could have been writing another chapter for the hateful anti-Semitic Classic, The Protocols of The Elders of Zion.
The secretary’s comments also made abundantly clear the disdain that Kerry and the Obama administration have for the once-cherished checks and balances of the American democratic system!
With this in mind some pivotal questions demand answers. To wit:
Will John Kerry and the administration he represents be allowed to get away with this? (The Obama-worshipping media no doubt will swallow the president’s cola.)
Has a majority of American Jewry — constantly bullied by this administration to choose between Israel or the Democratic Party — sold out Israel?
Like the Europe of old (the new Europe is not so different) this administration has officially released the dual loyalty canard against Jewish Democrats who might have denounced the Iran deal. Will these Democrats be forced to make an immoral decision against Israel? (Very likely, yes, because they appear to be in hiding when — as in the Schumer case — they refuse to stand up and be counted.)
It is important to remember that Obama and Kerry felt that they needed the approval of Congress for the much smaller issue of pin-point strikes against Syrian tyrant elect Bashar Assad.
Since the administration accepted the decision of Congress not to get involved in the Syrian morass one would imagine they would respect a decision by Congress concerning the nuclear negotiations with Iran. Why is so vital an issue allowed to be bulldozed through by the administration?
Kerry dares to peddle the atrocious idea that Israel would be to blame for a decision that the American Congress would make to protect America and her interests. His comments are an insult to congress.
Kerry’s threat today sounded similar to the obnoxious threat he made last year of Israel being boycotted further if it did not surrender to all of the Palestinians demands.
With this type of language one might believe that Kerry and the Obama administration are silently backing the anti-Semitic and anti-Israel BDS movement!
To top all of this off, Kerry delivered yet another threat against Israel, asserting that an Israeli strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities would be “an enormous mistake, a huge mistake with grave consequences for Israel and for the region.”
Kerry did not just threaten Israel, one might see his comments as staunch defense of Iran against Israel.
The administration has lied and betrayed the trust of Americans when dealing with the Iranian nuclear negotiations. Congress is the last line of defense for all of America.
Kerry and Obama have also deceived and betrayed the Jewish People and their Nation State Israel!
