MY SAY: SHOCKED, JUST SHOCKED AT BRANDEIS?

Really now…why the high dudgeon at Brandeis now? I would think that the courageous Ayaan Hirsi Ali should be honored at being disinvited by the radical campus that passes for a “liberal arts” university in Waltham , Massachusetts.

Why just this past November 2013 Brandeis professors called on university to ‘resume, redouble’ ties with Al-Quds University. The president had suspended ties following an Islamic Jihad rally on an Al Quds campus. Oh really….jihad which is a major study at Al Quds University did not deter spineless Brandeis faculty and President Fred Larence from maintaining ties for ten years. The November 5 rally  at Jihad (Al Quds) University  featured students wearing military garb, carrying fake weapons and saluting in a Nazi style. — and Brandeis’s decision to end the decade-long relationship between the schools on November 18. The report was written by three professors who have worked closely on the Al-Quds partnership: Daniel Terris, Susan Lanser and Daniel Kryder.

And remember when Norman Finkelstein was invited ?

March 2007

Brandeis University students seeking to bring a controversial critic of Israel to campus were finally granted a date and place Monday; then told an hour later the venue was not available, after all; then offered an alternative venue the next day. The latest twists in their lengthy effort to bring DePaul University Professor Norman Finkelstein to campus have left the Radical Student Alliance and Arab Culture Club crossing their fingers that he will appear on March 6 at the university, founded as a Jewish-sponsored, non-sectarian school.

Or how about the award to Tony Kushner, the playwright on the record for saying ““The biggest supporters of Israel are the most repulsive members of the Jewish community?”
