LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Federal investigators are reviewing video surveillance footage from the Colorado Mills Mall where two crude bombs were discovered inside a Borders book store over the weekend, the FBI said.

“(We have collected) fingerprints from the Borders Bookstore and many other pieces of evidence that we have sent to the lab for analysis,” said FBI spokesman Dave Joly. “We are collecting video from multiple sources.”

FOX 31 Denver has also learned the FBI has shown bookstore employees at least one photo of a man captured on video at the nearby Target store.

Borders’ employees have been forbidden from talking to reporters about the case.

The bombs were discovered early Saturday morning after a store alarm was tripped at about 1 a.m. Lakewood police officers responded and found what appeared to be forced entry into Borders.

According to an FBI press release, the two small, crude devices “partially functioned in a nominal manner,” causing no damage to the mall and only minimal damage to a small area of the interior of the Borders.
