Rebecca Bynum has written a thorough original and thought provoking book. The title is somewhat provocative “Allah is Dead- Why Islam Is Not a Religion”.
Bynum’s goal, as stated immediately in her introduction is: In this book, I take a highly focused look at Islam and whether it should be calssified as a religion, let alone an “Abrahamic religion or one of the “world’s great religions” as it has been presented.”
These words sting, particularly now when the efforts to clarify Islam’s real goals and strategies and dangers to our freedoms, are derided as Islamophobia and religious intolerance.
