Exclusive: Are Our Borders Safe? Just Ask Pete ‘Who are Minutemen Going to Kill Today?’ Stark

Pam Meister

Why some congressmen are eager to skip town hall meetings in their districts is beyond me. They’re so informative! At a recent gathering with his constituents, Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA) had the following conversation about the safety of our borders:
Wow. Just…wow. “Who are you going to kill today?” Americans who are doing the job government won’t do are essentially called murderers and then told in a lofty manner that “our borders are quite secure, thank you.” Try telling that to the family of this murdered Arizona rancher, or the former Alabama homecoming queen murdered in a Tennessee hotel, or the police officer killed during a routine traffic stop.
But like I said, town hall meetings can be very informative because the attitude witnessed in the video above is all too common in the halls of Congress and elsewhere in Washington, where elected officials and their bureaucratic and media minions don’t see illegal aliens as lawbreakers but rather as a voting bloc ripe for exploitation. They don’t say that, of course – that would be too transparent for those who have been promising “transparency” in government for years. Rather, it’s couched in terms of “human rights” and other such progressive prattle. How can it be that those we elect to do the business of the American people care more about these lawbreakers and interlopers than they do about those they purport to serve?
It’s not only appalling, it’s downright offensive.
A recent Gallup poll shows 9 out of 10 Americans saying they want the borders secured now. Further, 61 percent express concern about the heavy burden illegal aliens are placing on schools, hospitals, and government services that are paid for by American taxpayers and should benefit Americans and other legal residents of the US. Most Americans also support the state of Arizona, for passing a law that would – gasp – give law enforcement officials the tools they need to enforce federal immigration law, and they would support similar laws in other states.
Yet what does our federal government do? It threatens to “formally challenge” the state of Arizona for doing its job of protecting its rightful citizens. And some in the so-called mainstream media call the law “controversial” and fret that it “forces hard choices on migrants.” Cry me a river. (No, don’t; they’ll just swim through it.) Just last year the media were reporting that Phoenix has become the “kidnapping capital of America” thanks to the activities of Mexican drug cartels. But let Arizona enact a law to protect citizens and suddenly it’s become “controversial” in newsrooms across the nation.
And don’t get me started on the useful idiots in cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Boulder, and others who have officially boycotted Arizona.
Alice in Wonderland ain’t got nothin’ on the current state of shenanigans in American politics.
Do Congress and the White House wonder why their current approval ratings are so pathetic? Don’t hold your breath. Why do you think they’re so busy courting illegal aliens?
